HAUTLENCE is a prestigious Swiss luxury watch brand that was founded in Neuchâtel in 2004. Its name, "Hautlence," is an anagram of "Neuchatel," paying homage to its Swiss roots. The brand was established by Renaud de Retz, Guillaume Tetu, Jean Plazenet, Jean-Christophe Chopin, and Alain de Forges, who had previously gained valuable experience at renowned watch companies like Longines, Jaeger-LeCoultre, LVMH, and TAG Heuer.
In its early days, HAUTLENCE utilized the ETA Peseux 7001 movement in its first models. However, the brand soon evolved and now incorporates its own movement constructions tailored to the specific design elements of their watches.
The brand is known for producing timepieces with unique and artistic displays of time, challenging conventional methods of timekeeping. Their cases are designed with dimensions inspired by the television screen, adding to the distinctiveness of their timepieces.
