The Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Smile-Day Blue & Tourbillon Régulateur Blue

Louis Erard has spent recent years defining a very specific place for itself within contemporary Swiss watchmaking. Its strength lies in clarity of design and advanced mechanics. That balance has become central to Louis Erard’s identity.

That design awareness is especially visible in the brand’s collaborative work, where Louis Erard has shown a rare ability to absorb the language of an outside creative without losing its own. One of its most notable collaborations is with French designer Alain Silberstein, who has, over the years, developed a visual vocabulary that is instantly recognisable, one in which hands, markers, and displays become a composition of shapes as much as instruments of timekeeping.

Biver

Jean-Claude Biver, a prominent figure in the watch industry, is a Luxembourg-born Swiss businessman, executive, and cheesemaker. He has had an illustrious career, serving as the chief executive officer (CEO) of TAG Heuer and later becoming the president of LVMH's watchmaking division until his retirement in 2018 after 43 years in the industry. His leadership has been credited with revitalizing several luxury watch brands.

One of the brands he has been associated with is Hublot, a Swiss luxury watchmaker. Since 2014, Biver has served as the chief executive, board member, and minority shareholder of Hublot. Under his guidance, Hublot has experienced success and growth in the luxury watch market.

Moreover, Biver has a track record of rejuvenating other renowned watch brands, such as Blancpain and Omega, both currently owned by the Swatch Group. His innovative approach and strategic vision have been instrumental in bringing these brands back to prominence.

As of 2022, Jean-Claude Biver is the chairman of JC Biver, a luxury watch manufacture based in Givrins, Switzerland. He co-launched this brand with his youngest son, Pierre Biver, who is also involved in the watchmaking business. This development solidifies Biver's status as a watch manufacturer in addition to his other roles in the industry.
