Two Malachite and Lapis Lazuli Dials in Different Steel Cases
Founded in 1882 in Switzerland, the Zodiac Watch Company is known for producing a wide range of timepieces. One of its most notable collections is the Zodiac Sea Wolf, launched in the 1950s, which has earned a reputation for durability. Over the years, Zodiac has continued to develop and expand its collections. Today, we’ll showcase the latest additions to the brand’s Compression series within the Zodiac Sea Wolf collection, the “Diver Black Stainless Steel” and “Diver Stainless Steel watches”.
The case is available in two versions: polished stainless steel and polished stainless steel with a black DLC coating. The polished stainless steel version features a rotating bezel with a blue ceramic insert, while the DLC-coated version includes a black ceramic insert. It has a diameter of 40mm, a lug-to-lug length of 49mm, and a thickness of 14mm. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, and the movement is protected by a stainless steel case back. With a water resistance of up to 200 meters, it’s designed to withstand underwater conditions, and the screw-down crown ensures that it won’t accidentally open while submerged.
The watch features a lapis lazuli stone Dial for the steel version or a Malachite Stone Dial for the black version, each offering a unique and luxurious aesthetic. Enhanced visibility is ensured with Super-LumiNova coated to the hands and indexes, while the black version boasts a green minute hand that adds a vibrant contrast. Completing the elegant design, a white-printed minute track on the edges provides clarity and precision.
Both versions are powered by the automatic movement caliber STP 1-21, boasting a power reserve of 40 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). This precise movement ensures an impressive accuracy, maintaining a rate within -0/+15 seconds per day.
The watches come with a Jubilee-style bracelet in silver stainless steel for the silver version and a black DLC coating for the black version. Priced at USD 2,095 which is equivalent to AED 7,700 for the silver version and USD 2,295 which is equivalent to AED 8,430 for the black version.
