Originally unveiled in 2004, the Patrimony collection pays homage to the understated elegance of 1950s timepieces, seamlessly marrying classic aesthetics with contemporary craftsmanship. To mark two decades since its inception, Vacheron Constantin unveiled three new editions, each a testament to the collection's enduring legacy. These latest offerings include two exquisite time-only display variations, presented in lustrous white gold or resplendent pink gold cases. Additionally, aficionados were treated to a white gold model, boasting intricate moon phase and retrograde date displays, a masterful fusion of horological artistry and technical prowess.
Even before the introduction of these new models, the Patrimony collection boasted an impressive range of case sizes. It already included models in 36 mm, 36.5 mm, 37 mm, 40 mm, 41 mm, 42 mm, and 42.5 mm. Now, with the addition of a 39 mm edition, the collection fills its last gap. This size is ideal for those with medium-sized wrists or anyone seeking a more unisex option. The new manual-winding Patrimony editions, available in white or rose gold, feature a slim case height of 7.7 mm. The closed caseback offers the owner the option to engrave a personal message.
This visual theme extends to the collection's hallmark convex dial, adorned with a newly introduced old-silver tone, adding a touch of vintage flair. This hue creates a striking contrast with the pink gold accents found on the slim hands, indices, and the circular 'pearl' minutes track comprising 48 polished 18K gold spheres.
Powering these timepieces is the manual-winding Caliber 1440, this in-house movement, mere 2.6mm thick, operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), offering 42-hour power reserve. In addition to these stylistic refinements, the Mississippiensis alligator leather with calf inner shell straps now come in a new azure blue or olive-green hues, with an 18K white or pink gold pin buckle. Both editions have the same price 95,000 AED.
The third release, the Patrimony moon phase retrograde date, comes in a 42.5mm white gold case with a thickness of 9.7mm, featuring a transparent sapphire crystal caseback that allows a glimpse of the movement.
The new Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date embraces a timeless aesthetic. Featuring a new dial color, the sunburst 'old silver-toned' dial maintains an understated elegance, contrasting beautifully with the pink-gold hands and hour markers to create a two-tone effect. The retrograde date arcs across the top half of the dial, while the moon phase is subtly integrated at the 6 o'clock position.
Beneath the sapphire crystal caseback lies the in-house Caliber 2460 R31L, an automatic movement that offers 40 hours of power reserve and operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), featuring an openworked 18K gold oscillating weight. The watch comes with a olive-green Mississippiensis alligator leather with a calf inner shell, with an 18K white gold pin buckle. priced at 187,000 AED.
