Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

Five new references bring new finishes to the iconic collection

Breguet is launching the new Tradition 7037, 7097, 7067, and 7038 references to keep the Tradition collection’s recognisable layout intact while introducing a cleaner, more contemporary visual language through Arabic numerals, Grand Feu enamel dials, fresh movement finishes, and updated straps.

The strongest impression across the new releases is that Breguet has not tried to make the Tradition completely new. Instead, it has chosen to show that historical codes can still feel current when treated with enough attention. White enamel replaces guilloché in key places, darker movement finishes create stronger contrast.

Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7037

The Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7037 is arguably the clearest expression of that shift. Its case measures 38 mm in diameter and 12.7 mm in thickness. Breguet offers it in either 18k white gold or 950 platinum, while preserving the fluted case and welded lugs that immediately identify it as part of the Tradition family. Around the back, a sapphire caseback reveals the movement, and water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

Its dial arrangement keeps the collection’s familiar offset display at 12 o’clock, but the treatment is new. Rather than the usual guilloché gold dial, Breguet uses Grand Feu enamel and pairs it with Arabic numerals. On the white gold model, the subdial is rendered in white enamel against an all-blue movement. On the platinum version, the watch takes on a darker shade with a black movement and black Grand Feu enamel dial. Breguet uses blued steel open-tipped hands for the hours and minutes, while the retrograde seconds indication sits at 10 o’clock.

Inside is the calibre 505 SR, an automatic movement beating at 3 Hz and offering a 50-hour power reserve. The white gold version comes on a blue rubber strap with light grey stitching and the platinum version presented on black rubber. These references are not limited editions and join the permanent collection. Pricing is set at CHF 45,200 / AED 189,100 for the white gold model and CHF 49,700 / AED 207,900 for the platinum version.

Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097

The Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097 takes the same core idea in a larger format and with a softer palette. Its rose gold case measures 40 mm in diameter and 11.8 mm in thickness, again with the collection’s familiar fluted architecture and welded lugs. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement, and water resistance remains 30 meters.

Here, the dial at 12 o’clock is executed in white Grand Feu enamel, bringing a brighter, more refined contrast to the darker mechanics below. Arabic numerals replace the Roman style more commonly associated with earlier versions, while blued steel Breguet hands indicate the hours and minutes. The retrograde seconds sector is now more neatly separated, and the movement beneath is finished in charcoal grey with rose-gilt accents on the gear train and balance elements.

Power comes from the calibre 505 SR1, an automatic movement running at 3 Hz with a 50-hour power reserve. The watch is worn on a grey calfskin strap. Like the rest of these new Tradition references, it is not presented as a limited edition and enters the permanent collection. Its price is CHF 43,200 / AED 180 700.

Tradition GMT 7067

The boldest watch in the new series is the Tradition GMT 7067. Its 950 platinum case measures 40 mm across and 12.1 mm in thickness, with the same case features, and 30 meters of water resistance seen across the collection.

The main dial at 12 o’clock is executed in green-gradient Grand Feu enamel, fading from pine green at the center toward black at the edge. It is the first time such a dial treatment has appeared in a Tradition model, and it changes the mood of the watch immediately. Arabic numerals appear on the local-time display, while the home-time subdial at 8 o’clock is rendered in black openworked gold. Breguet also offers that home-time display in two scripts, either Arabic or Oriental numerals, a detail that gives this reference an added layer of historical and regional resonance. A discreet day-night indicator sits near 10 o’clock, and Second Time Zone function is adjusted via a pusher.

The movement is the hand-wound calibre 507DRF. It runs at 3 Hz and stores 50 hours of power reserve, with black-coated bridges and mainplate. The strap is black rubber with green topstitching, an unusual but convincing match for the enamel dial. This reference also joins the permanent collection, and it is priced at CHF 62,800 / AED 262,700.

Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7038

The final piece, the Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7038, takes the same mechanical vocabulary into a more jewellery-driven direction without losing the coherence of the collection. Its rhodium-plated 18k white gold case measures 37 mm in diameter and 11.6 mm in thickness. The bezel is set with 58 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the case retains the fluted caseband and welded lugs that keep it visually tied to the rest of the Tradition range. A sapphire caseback reveals the movement, and water resistance is 30 meters.

The dial is the most distinctive feature here. For the first time in the Tradition line, Breguet uses black aventurine glass for the offset display, finished with silver-toned powdered transfers and Arabic numerals. White gold hollow-tipped Breguet hands indicate the hours and minutes, while a white gold retrograde seconds hand completes the display. Beneath it, the movement adopts a deep black finish on the finely shotblasted bridges and mainplate, with a sunburst guilloché barrel cover adding texture at the center of the composition.

This model is powered by the same automatic calibre 505 SR found in the 7037, so frequency stands at 3 Hz and power reserve at 50 hours. It is delivered on a black satin-finished fabric strap with a diamond-set gold pin buckle. Price is set at CHF 50,600 / AED 211,700.
