Polished stainless steel case, with ultra-reflective dial
The Zenith DEFY Extreme Collection represents a pinnacle of performance and design, pushing boundaries to their limits. Launched at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2021, this collection showcases Zenith's dedication to precision and innovation. Combining the iconic El Primero 21, one of the fastest and most precise manufacture chronograph movements, with avant-garde design. The DEFY Extreme Collection offers a fusion of cutting-edge technology and bold aesthetics, as seen in models like the Defy Extreme Chronograph Carl Cox Edition.
Now, Zenith introduces the fully mirror-polished Zenith Defy Extreme Mirror. This new release goes beyond the ordinary, featuring an all-polished stainless steel case, with some specification remaining faithful to the DEFY Extreme collection, at 45 mm in diameter, and water-resistant up to 20 meters. The watch is topped by a sapphire crystal, showing a beautiful view of the reflective dial, and a sapphire caseback unveiling the zenith star rotor.
The skeleton dial presents an ultra-reflective spectacle, yet with a distinctive visual approach. Departing from previous releases, the Defy Extreme Mirror accentuates separation by replacing the smoked sapphire base that was found in some previous versions, with actual mirrors. This bold choice intensifies the visual impact, creating a crisp reflection that seamlessly integrates with the mirrored outer minutes track, polished hour indices, and the skeletonized polished hands. The dial features a 30-min chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, 60-min chronograph counter at 6 o'clock, running seconds positioned at 9 o'clock, central chronograph hand 1/100th of a second, and a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock.

The DEFY Extreme collection features the in-house El Primero 21 automatic chronograph, with a 50-hour power reserve and a high-frequency beat rate of 36,000 vph (5Hz). However, the chronograph has its own escapement beating at 360,000 vph (50Hz). The watch comes with an stainless steel integrated bracelet that mirrors the watch's polished aesthetic, fashioned in matching fully polished stainless steel. Zenith offers two additional strap options, a black rubber strap and a practical Velcro strap. The watch is ingeniously crafted with an innovative interchangeable strap system, facilitating seamless transitions between the polished bracelet and these alternative straps. Priced at CHF 21,680 which is equivalent to AED 98,800.
