Introducing Zeitwinkel Unveils the 082º TLE

Zeitwinkel was founded in Switzerland in 2006 by a group of friends and watch enthusiasts, with a focus on pure watchmaking. This approach places it among the rare independent manufactures that design, produce, and finish their movements entirely in house. The brand’s philosophy centers on clarity of function, resulting in timepieces that emphasize longevity and restraint. This year, Zeitwinkel collaborates with its UK-based retailer, The Limited Edition, to celebrate the retailer’s tenth anniversary with the release of the 082º TLE.

The watch is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39 mm in diameter with a thickness of 11.6 mm, including the domed sapphire crystal. The case architecture combines finely blasted surfaces with polished edges. A sapphire crystal caseback offers a view of the movement inside, while water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The grooved crown is equipped with a multi-stage sealing system incorporating dual O-rings.

The dial adopts a multi-layer construction defined by contrasts in texture and tone. At its center sits a galvanized 2N gold surface with a pronounced grained finish, surrounded by a “Black Or” chapter ring decorated with concentric detailing. Zeitwinkel’s proprietary numerals and applied elements are positioned within this darker ring, while a smooth peripheral track accommodates the seconds display. The hour and minute hands are angled to reflect light selectively for improved legibility and are joined by a slender central seconds hand.

Powering the watch is the manufacture calibre ZW0102, an automatic movement constructed in the three-quarter plate tradition. The plates and bridges are made from untreated German silver, showcasing a natural patina alongside Côtes de Genève and hand-finished chamfers. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.

The watch is paired with a grey leather strap secured by a Zeitwinkel-engraved clasp. It is limited to 10 pieces and priced at CHF 14,900, approximately AED 68,800.
