Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
An elegant dress watch with modern designs and mechanism
Yema is a historic independent French brand founded in 1948. This year, it continues its push into high-end watchmaking with a release that steps away from its diving roots, think Superman and Skin Diver, and ventures into more refined territory. The new Granvelle CMM.20 Collection is a fresh design rooted in nostalgia, and inspired by the Granvelle Palace that was 16th-century Renaissance palace in Brussels, Belgium, home to the Museum of Time.
The Granvelle stands out with its 39mm cushion-shaped 316L stainless steel case and a slim 8.60mm thickness, making it feel more like a refined dress watch with a structural twist. Brushed vertical surfaces are complemented by polished bevels and a distinctive coin-edge mid-case. A flat sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the cushion-shaped, signed crown tucks neatly into the silhouette. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres, perfectly appropriate for an elegant everyday piece.

The guilloché-style stamped pattern on the dial creates concentric ripples across the surface, enhanced by a sunray finish that plays with light. At 9 o’clock, a small seconds sub-dial introduces a touch of asymmetry without cluttering the layout. Surrounding it all is a stainless steel chapter ring with engraved hour indices, paired with polished, faceted dauphine hands. Buyers can choose between dark grey, deep blue, or forest green dials.
Powering the watch is Yema’s in-house CMM.20 calibre, developed in collaboration with French movement specialist Olivier Mory. This micro-rotor automatic movement beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and boasts an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The rotor is mounted on ball bearings, improving efficiency and reducing friction. Although not officially COSC-certified, the movement is regulated to -3 to +7 seconds per day, aligning with chronometer standards.

Each watch is paired with a tapered calfskin leather strap featuring beige contrast stitching and a deployant clasp. Two strap lengths (medium and large) are included in the box to ensure a perfect fit from day one. The watch is priced at EUR 1,990, approximately AED 8,200.
