The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Without Fanfare, Rolex Expands the Daytona Collection with Seven New Editions

Classic icons reimagined with contemporary updates and subtle refinements.

On the opening day of Watches and Wonders 2025, Rolex surprised enthusiasts and collectors alike with a substantial lineup of novelties. Among the standout releases was a bold new take on the Cosmograph Daytona: a striking yellow gold model paired with a turquoise lacquered dial. Yet, this wasn’t the only update to the iconic chronograph. In a more discreet move, Rolex also introduced seven additional Daytona references, revamped classics that bring subtle yet notable refinements to an already rich collection.

All seven new models are reinterpretations of familiar versions that existed prior to the 2023 revamp, which saw the introduction of a new generation of Daytonas equipped with the caliber 4131 movement. For those interested in a deeper dive into the Daytona’s heritage, the full history of this emblematic chronograph is available here.

In contrast to last year’s relatively restrained Daytona releases, limited to two mother-of-pearl dial versions with diamond-set bezels and the discontinuation of the popular white gold “Le Mans” edition. Rolex’s 2025 offering marks a significant expansion. The new additions not only showcase technical and aesthetic updates but also reaffirm the Daytona’s place at the heart of Rolex’s sports watch portfolio.

As with all modern Daytonas, the new models retain the familiar 40 mm case and are powered by the automatic Caliber 4131. First introduced in 2023, this movement features Rolex Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges and a skeletonized oscillating weight. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a robust 72-hour power reserve.

The Return of the “John Mayer” Green Dial

Once known as reference 116508-0013, the beloved yellow gold Daytona with the rich green dial, often referred to as the “John Mayer” edition, returns under a new reference: 126508-0008. While the signature full yellow gold construction remains, the dial appears in a slightly lighter shade of green with gold-toned chronograph sub-counters. It also benefits from the slimmer indices and hands introduced in the 2023 update, along with the upgraded movement. Worn on a matching yellow gold bracelet, this model is priced at EUR 48,400 (approximately AED 202,000).

White Gold with Blue Sunburst Dial

The blue dial Daytona in white gold, previously reference 116509-0071, makes its return as reference 126509-0005. This version retains the deep blue sunray-brushed dial with matching counters, housed in a full white gold case and bracelet. While visually similar to its predecessor, it incorporates all the enhancements of the 2023 update. The retail price is set at EUR 51,900 (approximately AED 216,300).

The Meteorite Dial Is Back

The distinctive meteorite dial returns to the Daytona lineup, now available with a ceramic bezel and Oysterflex bracelet in all three gold variants:

  • Yellow Gold: Reference 126518LN-0016
  • Everose Gold: Reference 126515LN-0008
  • White Gold: Reference 126519LN-0007

While the overall aesthetic remains familiar, these versions include the 2023 refinements such as slimmer markers and panda-style sub-dials, along with the updated metal-framed ceramic bezels. Pricing is as follows:

Yellow gold: EUR 41,850 (approx. AED 174,400)

White and Everose gold: EUR 43,750 (approx. AED 182,300)

Chocolate Brown Dial Returns in Everose Gold

Rolex also reintroduces the chocolate brown sunray-brushed dial on two Everose gold Daytona models, both featuring black sub-counters with gold surrounds:

Reference 126505-0005: Paired with an Everose gold bracelet and metal bezel. Priced at EUR 51,900 (approx. AED 216,300)

Reference 126515LN-0010: Features an Oysterflex rubber bracelet and black ceramic bezel. Priced at EUR 39,300 (approx. AED 163,800)
