Roundup Waqt Picks the Top 7 at Watches and Wonders 2025

An exceptional edition that witnessed many unique releases and stunning creations

After a week packed with exciting unveilings at Watches and Wonders 2025, as well as numerous parallel events across Geneva, we witnessed an impressive wave of new timepieces. As always, reactions from collectors and enthusiasts were mixed: some praised the creativity of the brands, while others felt the novelties fell short of expectations. In the end, it all comes down to personal taste and preference.

From industry titans like Rolex and Patek Philippe, who together unveiled nearly 30 new models, to 60 other participating brands showcasing their latest creations, there was no shortage of innovation. We also saw record-breaking achievements, with Bulgari continuing its dominance in the ultra-thin mechanical watch segment through its Octo Finissimo line, and Ulysse Nardin introducing the lightest dive watch ever produced.

As we do every year, the time has come for the Waqt team to select the best watches of the season. We will start by revealing our top seven watches of the entire exhibition. Naturally, it wouldn’t be fair to compare all categories in a single ranking, so we will also share our favorites within each specific category. Here, then, are Waqt's picks for the top seven watches at Watches and Wonders 2025.

Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic

Jaeger-LeCoultre takes things up a notch with the Reverso Tribute Geographic. For the first time in the Tribute collection, a world-time complication makes its debut.

Comes in two material options, a steel or a pink gold case. It measures 49.4 x 29.9 mm with a sleek 11.14 mm thickness, giving it presence without overstatement. But, as always with the Reverso, the real magic happens when you flip the case over.

The front dial features a sunray finish, deep blue for the steel model and a rich chocolate brown for the pink gold version. The layout is crisp: a Grande Date at 12 o’clock, central hour and minute hands, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.  Flip the case, and Jaeger-LeCoultre delivers something truly special. The reverse side transforms into a world-time display, coated in lacquer and detailed with laser engraving. A rotating 24-hour ring circles a beautifully rendered world map, allowing you to track time across multiple cities.

The pink gold edition is limited to just 150 pieces and is priced at EUR 31,500, equivalent to AED 45,578, while the steel variant joins Jaeger-LeCoultre’s permanent collection with a price of EUR 19,000, equivalent to AED 27,382.

Among these watches, one stands out as one of the most important releases of the year, perhaps even one of the most significant releases in the brand's history in recent years, as Rolex introduces the entirely new Land-Dweller collection, which is a rare occurrence in its history.

An elegant yet sporty timepiece, it features a compact design that revives a distinctive aesthetic from the late 1970s, inspired by the Oyster Quartz, Rolex's first mass-produced quartz watch.

The Land-Dweller watches are available in two sizes, 36mm and 40mm, with a case made of stainless steel with a white gold bezel (White Rolesor), or 18-carat rose gold (Everose), or platinum. The gold and platinum versions can be configured with either a fluted or diamond-set bezel.

This new model is equipped with an advanced movement featuring a newly patented two-wheel escapement, making it one of the first industrial applications of this technology, alongside several other technical additions to the movement.
