Gerald Charles, the independent Swiss watchmaking Maison founded by the great Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, unveils its most complicated watch since its reestablishment less than a decade ago. The Masterlink Perpetual Calendar, developed entirely in-house, marks a new chapter for the young and ambitious Maison as it continues to expand its repertoire of poetic complications.

In keeping with Gerald Charles’s “No Compromise” watchmaking philosophy, established by Mr. Genta more than a quarter of a century ago, the Masterlink Perpetual Calendar introduces an in-house, asymmetrical, automatic perpetual calendar calibre with a three-counter display.

The Vyntage RS, worn by H.E. Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during one of the most important recent interviews on Sharjah TV’s Maraya Podcast, serves as a strong reflection of the brand’s identity. With its compact dimensions, lightweight aluminium construction, and design cues drawn from classic motor racing, it feels focused, contemporary, and self-assured.

Vyntage Horology represents an important new direction within the UAE’s growing watch culture. Introduced by the Seddiqi family, whose name has long been tied to horology in the region. It is a rising Emirati brand that stands at the intersection of local ambition with advanced Swiss-made movements. The result is a brand that feels modern in its outlook while still carrying the weight of a family deeply connected to the watch industry.

The case measures 39 mm in diameter and 10.8mm in thickness. It is made of aluminium, a material choice that reinforces the watch’s light and sporty feel on the wrist. Its crown is positioned at 4 o’clock. It features a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective transparent coating on both sides, and a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective transparent coating inside.

The dial is finished in sunray black with a semi-matte surface and features a carbon-fibre centre that ties directly into the watch’s racing-inspired identity. The hands are anthracite and filled with Super-LumiNova C1 X1, while the indices are polished silver, creating strong contrast against the darker dial. In terms of functions and layout, the watch features a small seconds display at 7 o’clock. The dial is protected by a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.

Powering the watch is a Swiss-made manual-winding movement with a 90-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with a black ballistic rubber strap with orange stitching and a blue aquatic lining. The Vyntage RS is limited to 25 pieces.
