The iconic chronograph returns with refined new aesthetic
Vulcain is one of those quietly influential names in Swiss watchmaking whose legacy was shaped not by loud design statements, but by technical integrity and mechanical consistency. Since the nineteenth century, the manufacture has cultivated a reputation for producing precise and dependable timepieces that earned the trust of professionals.

This heritage carries naturally into Vulcain’s contemporary collections, and the Monopusher Heritage line expresses it perfectly. The collection revisits classical Swiss timing instruments through a modern lens. This year, the brand introduces a new Panda version that adopts a high-contrast monochromatic layout. The watch is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 38.90 mm in diameter with a thickness of 13 mm. A solid screw-down steel caseback protects the movement and supports a water-resistance rating of 50 meters.

The dial features a white main surface contrasted by two black subdials arranged in a bi-compax layout. The 30-minute chronograph counter is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the small seconds display sits at 9 o’clock. Black printed Arabic numerals mark the hours, and a peripheral seconds track frames the dial, creating a clear and symmetrical composition. Leaf-shaped hour and minute hands complete the display. A pulsometer scale is discreetly integrated between the hour markers and subdials, allowing heart-rate measurement based on 30 beats and reinforcing the watch’s period-correct identity. Super-LumiNova on the hands and markers improves legibility in low-light conditions.

Powering the watch is the hand-wound Sellita SW510 M MP b chronograph movement. The calibre operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 58 hours. Vulcain offers the watch with a selection of strap and bracelet options, including leather straps secured by a pin buckle, a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, and a black alligator leather strap.

The Panda version joins Vulcain’s permanent collection. It is priced at € 2,990, approximately AED 12,900 on leather straps, € 3,270, approximately AED 14,100 on a stainless steel bracelet, and € 3,310, approximately AED 14,250 when paired with a black alligator leather strap.
