A dial crafted from the Muonionalusta meteorite, adds a new dimension to the classic dive watch
Vulcain expands its iconic diving watch collection. The Skindiver Nautique, a celebrated dive timepiece from the 1960s, has become one of the most sought-after models from the Le Locle-based brand. For the first time, the collection now features a certified meteorite dial, introduced in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
Built upon a rich heritage, which we explored in detail in this article (here), Vulcain has continued to look firmly ahead under the leadership of Guillaume Laidet, who has injected renewed momentum into the Neuchâtel manufacture and sharpened its vision for the future.
The Skindiver Nautique combines a compact vintage aesthetic inspired by the design codes of the 1960s. Since its highly acclaimed reissue in 2023, the model has been reinterpreted through numerous variations, special editions, and collaborations.
The case remains true to the signature design of the collection, crafted from vertically brushed 316L stainless steel, exuding both durability and refined elegance. Measuring 38 mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.20 mm, it balances a commanding presence with everyday wearability. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the unidirectional rotating bezel, featuring a black ceramic insert, reinforces its robust diving credentials. The polished 316L stainless steel case back adds a touch of sophistication, and the watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters.
The new meteorite dial of the Skindiver Nautique, limited to 100 pieces, reflects the notion that the depths of the oceans are as vast as the galaxy. Crafted from a fragment of the Muonionalusta meteorite discovered in Sweden, the dial radiates a sense of eternity. Its mineral character, nuances reminiscent of volcanic stone, silvery-grey metallic geometric patterns, and captivating textural effects give the watch a truly unique aesthetic presence.
This iron meteorite, significantly denser than ordinary terrestrial rock, is particularly renowned for its spectacular Widmanstätten pattern—a crystalline interlocking structure revealed through acid etching. Its distinctive angular structure makes it highly prized both in jewelry and among collectors.
As a true dive watch, the Skindiver Nautique features all the hallmarks of the category: highly legible hands and indices coated with Super-LumiNova, as well as a unidirectional rotating bezel with a grippy profile.

Powering the watch is the automatic ETA 2824, a three-hand movement that beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve. The watch can be ordered with a variety of strap options or a stainless steel bracelet.
The Vulcain Skindiver Nautique Meteorite is strictly limited to 100 pieces, with a starting price of CHF 1,790, approximately 8,845 AED.
The Watch is available exclusively at Waqt E-shop.
