Classic design enhanced with exclusive touches in a limited edition of 25 pieces
Massena LAB collaborates with the renowned Swiss watchmaker Vulcain to present a special edition of the iconic diver's watch, the "Nautical." This timepiece masterfully blends the classic charm of the 1950s with the strength of modern technical performance. The limited-edition Vulcain Nautical Legacy Massena LAB features a brown dial, hands inspired by vintage design created exclusively for this edition, and a new black rubber strap designed exclusively by Massena LAB.
This special edition is powered by the V-10 calibre, Vulcain’s renowned hand-wound movement, the same iconic mechanism used in the original Vulcain Cricket Nautical. This was one of the earliest diver’s watches to include an alarm function audible underwater. For more historical insights into this exceptional timepiece and its unique alarm functionality, you can read the detailed article and in-depth explanation of how the watch works here.
This special edition is powered by the in-house hand-wound calibre V-10 and preserves the technical prowess of the original Vulcain Cricket Nautical, one of the first diver's watches to feature an underwater audible alarm. For those seeking more historical insight into this remarkable timepiece and its unique alarm function, you can read our detailed article here.
The Vulcain Nautical Legacy Massena LAB stays true to the classic nautical design with its 42mm stainless steel case and a thickness of 17.35mm. An ultra-domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the watch's hallmark decompression scale is prominently displayed. The alarm function remains a highlight, enhanced by Vulcain's renowned "Triple Case Back" design, which serves as a resonance chamber to amplify the alarm sound even underwater.
The chocolate brown dial, accentuated by beige Super-LumiNova and a blue minute track, offers a stunning aesthetic.
Three central hands, uniquely designed by Massena LAB for this edition, indicate the time. Meanwhile, a red arrow-shaped hand marks the alarm function, and the decompression scale is adjustable via a screw-in crown positioned at 4 o’clock.
The watch is powered by a hand-wound movement manufactured in house by Vulcan, the calibre V-10 operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz) and boasts twin barrels, one dedicated to timekeeping and the other powering the alarm. The movement provides a 52-hour power reserve, ensuring reliability and precision.
The watch is completed with a black rubber strap featuring a stainless steel pin buckle adorned with the Vulcain logo. Limited to just 25 pieces, this exclusive edition is available only on the Massena LAB website, priced at USD 4,950 (approximately AED 18,200).
