Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Presented with artistic flair, the company introduces its first-ever moonphase complication watch
Code 41 was founded in 2016 by Claudio D’Amore, providing watches that reflect the spirit of innovation. The company even takes the suggestions of watch enthusiasts into consideration to create contemporary designs and produce distinctive pieces. This connection and communication is what enhanced the feeling of understanding and the company’s closeness to its fans. Since its founding, the company has presented many distinctive designs, but the most prominent of them was not a wristwatch, but rather the unconventional “Mecascape” edition desk watch that presented an unprecedented concept in horology.
Now, with the beginning of 2024, Code41 unveils its first creation of the year, the “Moon Inception Watch”, inspired by the moon itself. Elegantly displaying a lunar-inspired dial in every detail, the watch represents the brand's first watch to display the phases of the moon. It is also the first watch from the company to come with a full dial after the company’s watches came with an skeleton dial.

The case of this timepiece is crafted from brushed and polished stainless steel, ensuring durability and a sleek aesthetic. Protecting the dial is a domed sapphire crystal, and covering the caseback is a crystal, both treated with an anti-reflective coating for enhanced clarity and visibility. With a diameter of 41.5mm and a thickness of 11.2mm, the watch strikes a balance between both style and comfort.

The focal point of this watch is undeniably its dial, available in captivating black, blue, or tan hues. The dial features a large inner frame showcasing the moonphase and starry background at 8 o'clock. This large frame integrates with a smaller one at 1:30, where the date window lies, forming an 8 that symbolizes infinity. Additionally, the dial seamlessly integrates the outer minute/seconds track with the inner frames. The silver hour and minute hands contribute to a refined aesthetic, while the seconds hand, adorned with a vintage rocket tip, introduces a unique and nostalgic theme. It's worth noting that the dial does not feature any luminescent material.

The heart of this timepiece is the Automatic C41-MP calibre, built upon the Sellita SW288 Elaboré. Operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), it boasts a 41-hour power reserve, ensuring consistent and precise timekeeping. Adjusted in three positions, the movement achieves an accuracy of +/-7 seconds per day. For those seeking even higher precision, an optional COSC certified version is available, guaranteeing accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day, accompanied by a certificate. Adding a touch of artistry, the caliber features intricate decorations, including perlage, and a captivating rocket/space theme engraved on the rotor.

The versatility of this timepiece is evident in its multiple strap options, providing a range of choices to suit individual preferences. Whether opting for the classic steel bracelet, the sporty black perforated leather, the elegant black alligator strap, or the stylish tan perforated leather strap, each is designed for both comfort and style. Additionally, the convenience of quick-release levers makes it easy for wearers to effortlessly switch between different strap options.

Preorders commence on January 25th, coinciding with the first full moon of 2024, and extend throughout the lunar cycle, concluding on February 23rd. The timepiece is priced at USD 3,500 which is equivalent to AED 12,900 and the optional COSC certification adds approximately USD 300 to the price which is equivalent to AED 1,100.
