Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
The brand departs from its traditional design approach in collaboration with Nichetto Studio
UNIMATIC unveils the Modello Cinque U5S-NS, a distinctive design that represents a decisive departure from the brand’s established visual language, long inspired by military timepieces and robust tool watches. This special release inaugurates the “Nichecraft” platform curated by Nichetto Studio, where the collaboration creates a technical dialogue between watchmaking and multidisciplinary design while introducing a non-traditional approach to displaying time. The project marks Luca Nichetto’s first venture into horology; his design language, rooted in the Venetian glassmaking tradition, results in a timepiece that prioritizes chromatic rhythm over a conventional date display.
This release also represents Nichetto Studio’s first entry into watch design and inaugurates the “Nichecraft Capsule” collection, developed in partnership with the Italian brand, united by a shared commitment to craftsmanship, research, and clarity of vision.
Drawing inspiration from the playful day wheels of childhood, where color once marked the passage of time, the traditional date function is replaced by a multicolored day wheel. The classic date aperture is reinterpreted as four distinct shaped windows, an exploded interpretation of Nichetto’s “N” logo. Each day reveals a new chromatic composition, introducing rhythm, variation, and a quiet sense of discovery to everyday wear.
The 36 mm case of the Modello Cinqué U5S-NS is crafted from 316L stainless steel and finished with a uniform sandblasted surface that minimizes reflections while emphasizing the architectural geometry of the lugs. The case measures 11.6 mm in height, achieved through the integration of a 2.2 mm double-domed sapphire crystal that provides subtle optical magnification at the dial periphery. The pronounced curvature of the lugs promotes an ergonomic fit along the wrist’s contour, while the 8 mm “Alchemical Sun” screw-down crown ensures a hermetic seal and contributes to an individually tested water-resistance rating of 300 meters.
The stainless steel caseback features a specialized Color Wheel engraving, a shared motif between UNIMATIC and Nichetto Studio that symbolizes their creative partnership.

The dial is defined by a cool-gray grainé texture that produces a matte particulate surface diffusing light and enhancing the legibility of the minimal phantom hands. These brushed stainless steel hands are intentionally free of luminescent material, reinforcing the design’s emphasis on form and silhouette. At six o’clock, the traditional date aperture is replaced by four geometric windows, a deconstructed interpretation of the Nichetto Studio “N” logo, revealing a rotating multicolored day wheel. Primary color accents shift every 24 hours, transforming the dial into a dynamic chromatic composition that departs from the static nature of conventional field-watch displays.
Powering the U5S-NS is the Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1 movement, equipped with a hacking seconds function for precise synchronization. The caliber incorporates Novodiac shock protection and a Glucydur balance wheel, ensuring stability under daily wear conditions. While the base movement is typically configured with a numeric date disc, the Nichecraft collaboration repurposes this mechanism to drive the customized multicolor day disc. The movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours, and delivers an accuracy rating of ±12 seconds per day.
The watch is paired with a black padded deer-leather two-piece strap featuring top stitching and a quick-release system. It is secured by sandblasted stainless steel hardware signed UNIMATIC. Delivery includes a UNIMATIC × Nichetto tough case and a warranty card bearing a unique ID seal.
The UNIMATIC × Nichetto Studio Modello Cinqué U5S-NS is issued as a limited edition of 30 numbered pieces and is priced at USD 1,860 (approximately AED 6,830).
