New additions to the Moonphase collection with beautiful dials
Farer has become one of the most distinctive names in the new generation of British watchmaking. Each release from the brand strikes a careful balance between heritage and innovation, presenting familiar complications through refreshingly modern design. Introduced in 2023, the Moonphase Collection embodies this philosophy perfectly, reinterpreting one of watchmaking’s oldest complications in a contemporary way. Following the success of the 2024 Baily model with its aventurine stone dial, Farer now introduces two new references: the Stratton and the Burbidge Eastern Arabic Edition.
Both models share the same 38.5 mm cushion-shaped case that defines the Moonphase line. The Stratton measures 11.5 mm thick, while the Burbidge is slightly slimmer at 10.5 mm. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case features a refined mix of polished and brushed finishes, with a polished bezel framed by a brushed chamfer. The Stratton is finished in gold PVD, while the Burbidge retains a cooler, classic steel tone.
Sapphire crystals adorn both the front and back, with the front crystal treated with an internal anti-reflective coating. Through the exhibition caseback, the Swiss movement is clearly visible. Each model offers a water resistance of 50 meters.
The Stratton pays tribute to British astronomer Frederick Stratton and features a dial cut from Eisenkiesel quartz, a striking variety of stone veined with iron that gives each piece a unique golden-brown pattern. To complement these tones, Farer developed a special gold-tinted Super-LumiNova in collaboration with Tritec, used to paint the moon on the disc. This marks the first time Farer has used this luminous tone, which glows green in the dark while appearing gold by day.
Named after pioneering astrophysicist Margaret Burbidge, the Burbidge Eastern Arabic Edition introduces a cooler palette with an arctic-blue sunburst dial. Its dial and date numerals are rendered entirely in Eastern Arabic script, giving the watch a cultural and visual identity unlike any other Farer release. The moon, hand-painted in a soft pink shade inspired by April’s “Pink Moon,” provides a charming contrast against the blue background. Both models feature large moonphase apertures with hand-painted discs, polished lance-style hands filled with Super-LumiNova, white Lumicast indices, and a framed date at 6 o’clock.

Powering both watches is the Sellita SW288-1 M Elaboré Grade, a manually wound Swiss calibre beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a 45-hour power reserve. Each watch is paired with a supple leather strap equipped with a quick-release system.
