Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

Two elegant watches in beautiful summer inspired colors
Orient Star was introduced as the premium brand of Orient Watch Co., designed to showcase the brand’s highest levels of mechanical craftsmanship. While Orient has long been known for producing reliable and affordable watches, Orient Star serves as its more refined sibling, offering elevated finishing, in-house movements, and a strong emphasis on Japanese watchmaking artistry. The latest additions to its Contemporary Layered Skeleton collection bring a colorful update in the form of two dial variations: one in champagne gold and the other in mint green.
Both watches are housed in stainless steel cases measuring 41mm in diameter and 13.6mm in thickness. The finishing alternates between brushed and polished accents. A dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while a see-through caseback offers a clear view of the movement. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres, and the limited mint green edition also features a unique serial number engraved on the transparent caseback.

The sunray dial features a distinctive two-layer construction. A teardrop-shaped semi-skeleton aperture reveals parts of the movement, including the balance wheel, while an openworked display showcases the power reserve. Both models include applied indices, luminous hands, a small seconds subdial positioned at 6 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock.
The watch is powered by the in-house Calibre F6F44, an automatic movement that operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz) and delivers a 50-hour power reserve. The movement is rhodium-plated and topped with an openworked rotor, visible through the rear crystal.

The champagne gold variant is paired with a grey leather strap featuring an alligator texture and a folding clasp with push-button release. Meanwhile, the mint green model is fitted with a five-piece link stainless steel bracelet. The champagne gold version joins the permanent collection at a price of EUR 829, approximately AED 3,500, while the mint green edition is limited to 700 pieces and priced at EUR 899, approximately AED 3,800.
