Introducing Tudor Reveals the "Flamingo Blue" Black Bay Chrono Edition

After the leaks, a bold new color joins the company's bold editions

Tudor Unveiling a New Stunning Dial Color for Its Famous Black Bay. Breaking convention has been the modus operandi of Tudor since the very beginning. You already know flamingos aren’t blue, and Tudor does too. But if you were to describe “Flamingo Blue” to someone, chances are you would come up with this very tone of turquoise, so distinctive of the tropical waters flamingos are known to love. Nothing about a blue flamingo blends in, and that’s why the new Black Bay Chrono model is here, with a dial in a vibrant blue hue that’s unlike anything else in the Tudor lineup.

Like the Black Bay Chrono Pink released in 2024, this edition will be the third daring watch, as Tudor explains on their website, following the Black Bay Ceramic and the Pink Black Bay. Now, meet the Flamingo Blue.

Stainless steel case measures 41 mm in width and 14.4 mm in height. The bezel insert is made of black anodized aluminum, providing a sleek aesthetic. With a water resistance of 200 meters, the case remains consistent with other watches in the Black Bay collection. It features brushed surfaces on the top, a polished chamfer along the sides of the lugs, and polished surfaces on the casebands. Topping the case is a highly domed sapphire crystal, adding to its overall appeal.

Yes, we know flamingos are not blue, but the company has named the color in reference to the beaches where these pink birds live. While many watch enthusiasts have linked this dial to the Inter Miami football team’s third kit, the company has not made any such connection. The American football team partnered last year to unveil the Pink Tudor, which is why watch collectors have associated this edition with the same club owned by British footballer David Beckham.

The Flamingo Blue is a matte light blue dial on a domed disc, incorporating black counters. The subdials include a 45-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, with a white date window positioned at 6 o'clock.

Powered by the caliber MT5813. the same powered the previous Pink edition. A sophisticated movement with a 70-hour power reserve, it’s an automatic, integrated chronograph movement constructed with amenities like a vertical clutch and column wheel
The MT5813 is derived from the Breitling B01, but heavily modified by Tudor. Amongst the Tudor upgrades are a free balance wheel and a silicon hairspring

As its previous PInk Edition, the Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue comes with a Jubilee-like bracelet. the stainless steel 5 links bracelet with olding clasp with T-Fit micro-adjustment. Priced at EURO 5,870, equivalent to 22,200 AED.
