Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A new chapter for the B/1, defined by a titanium case and a gold dial
Toledano & Chan occupies a space in contemporary watchmaking that sits closer to industrial design than traditional horology. Founded by Phil Toledano and Alfred Chan, the brand was conceived not as a vehicle for complications or heritage revival, but as a platform for form, proportion, and material dialogue. From the outset, their work has treated the wristwatch as a three-dimensional object shaped by architectural thinking.

In 2024, the brand debuted the B/1, a timepiece that felt part 1970s Rolex Midas, part brutalist architecture. Conceived as a single, cohesive structure in which case, dial, and bracelet operate as one visual mass, the watch has since refined its language without diluting its identity. This evolution continued with the B/1.2, introducing a newly shaped crystal that extended the brutalist aesthetic into the sapphire itself. For 2026, the brand introduces the B/1.3r, offering a fresh expression of that design language through a titanium construction paired with a solid yellow gold dial.

The case measures 32 mm in width, 31.5 mm in length, and varies in thickness from 9.1 to 10.4 mm, a result of its asymmetrical construction. Crafted entirely from Grade 5 titanium, the case presents a darker, more muted surface than steel, reinforcing the watch’s architectural character. Brushed and matte-blasted finishes define the sharp planes and transitions, while the faceted sapphire crystal fully embraces the brutalist design language. The titanium caseback completes the compact, self-contained profile, with water resistance rated at 50 meters.

Departing from the stone dials used in earlier iterations, the B/1.3r adopts a dial made from solid 18K yellow gold. Its rippled surface introduces depth and motion, creating a deliberate contrast with the rigidity of the surrounding case. The warmth of the gold offsets the cool tone of the titanium, generating a visual tension central to the watch’s identity. Time is indicated by two asymmetrical hands, sharpened and faceted to echo the geometry of the case.

Powering the watch is the Sellita SW100 automatic movement. Compact by design, it suits the unconventional proportions of the case while offering proven reliability. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of 41 hours.
The integrated bracelet is executed in Grade 5 titanium and continues the asymmetrical, faceted theme of the case. Individual links vary subtly in form and thickness, allowing for a fluid articulation around the wrist. The B/1.3r is produced as a limited edition of 300 pieces, priced at USD 10,200, approximately AED 37,500.
