Introducing Tissot's New Additions to The Sporty PRX Collection

Fully forged carbon and elegant gradient dials adorn the iconic lineup

The PRX has long stood as an iconic symbol for Tissot, consistently ranking as its best-selling watch. Over the years, this sporty collection has been updated with a wide array of releases, showcasing various colorsdial designs, and complications like the chronograph that continue to elevate this collection. This year, Tissot is introducing two striking gradient dials and a sophisticated fully forged carbon fiber edition, further expanding the collection.

The watches in this release fall under the PRX 40 Powermatic 80 collection, which, as the name suggests, feature a 40mm diameter. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case is 10.9mm thick and showcases a sophisticated blend of brushed and polished finishes. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, ensuring durability and clarity, while the see-through caseback offers a glimpse of the movement within. The forged carbon variant, however, is slightly thicker at 11.2mm, other than that, it shares the same specifications as the other two variants.

The dials are available in two gradient options: a blue gradient, referred to by the brand as "Ice Blue Chameleon," and a black-to-blue gradient, called "Black Chameleon." The forged carbon variant, on the other hand, features a fully carbon dial. All three models offer a simple time and date display, with differences in the dial pattern and the date window disc color—one in white and the other in black. The dial also includes Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indices, with a date window positioned at 3 o’clock.

The steel variants are powered by the brand's classic automatic movement, the Caliber Powermatic 80, while the carbon variant features the Powermatic 80 Si—where "Si" indicates the inclusion of a silicon hairspring. Both movements operate at 21,600 vph (3Hz) and offer 80-hour power reserve. The steel duo comes with a stainless steel bracelet and folding clasp, priced at CHF 685/AED 3,000, while the carbon variant is paired with a black rubber strap and is priced at CHF 965/AED 4,170.
