A commemorative black edition featuring a design inspired by the iconic anime
Last year, Tissot delighted fans with a special-edition PRX featuring a lumed Grendizer on its blue dial. Now, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the anime legend, the brand returns with another tribute to UFO Robot Grendizer. This latest edition transforms the PRX with a full black PVD treatment, while its layered dial brings Grendizer to life in dramatic fashion, glowing vividly in low light.
Housed in the familiar 40mm PRX case, now entirely coated in black PVD, the watch embraces a bold retro-futurist aesthetic. It remains water-resistant to 100 meters, fitted with a sapphire crystal on the front and a mineral display back. Around the inner bezel, an engraving dedicated to the original 1975 series underscores the anniversary theme.
Through the transparent caseback, the movement reveals a hidden detail: Grendizer himself, engraved on the oscillating weight. Each watch is individually numbered, with “Limited Edition 1 of 1975” inscribed on the back, a direct homage to the year the anime first captivated audiences.
On the dial, Grendizer takes center stage in a striking pose, his clenched fist thrust forward as though ready to shatter the sapphire crystal. Detailed engravings and layered textures create a sculptural, three-dimensional effect, while his glowing yellow eyes and Super-LumiNova accents ensure he shines brilliantly in the dark. Adding to the spectacle, the seconds hand—shaped like the iconic Double Harken and crafted in 18K gold, cuts across the dial with precision.
Powered by the Powermatic 80 automatic movement, based on the ETA 2824-2, that operates at 21,600 vph (3Hz) and offers an 80-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire caseback, you can admire the Grendizer logo engraved on the rotor, alongside the inscription “Tissot x Grendizer.”

Completing the package is an integrated stainless steel bracelet, also coated in black PVD and equipped with a quick-release system.
The watch is presented in a UFO Spazer-inspired capsule, set within a gold-and-black outer box and accompanied by exclusive drawings hand-signed by Go Nagai. Priced at EUR 895 (AED 3,880), this anniversary edition brings together watchmaking and anime culture in a bold, collectible form.
