Watches that Celebrate the Legacy of Designer Jean Schlumberger
For LVMH Watch Week, Tiffany & Co. has unveiled a dazzling array of timepieces that celebrate its storied heritage in high jewelry watches. Among the highlights are two stunning new interpretations of the Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Bird on a Rock Watch, one of the brand’s most iconic designs.
Tiffany & Co. is reaffirming its horological legacy, which spans over 175 years. Following its acquisition by LVMH in 2021, the brand has placed a renewed focus on the work of legendary designer Jean Schlumberger, seamlessly integrating his artistic vision into both jewelry and timepieces.
The Bird on a Rock Watch is available in two sizes: a 36mm quartz version and a larger 39mm automatic version, both crafted in white gold. A diamond-encrusted bird, perched gracefully on the dial, is invisibly affixed to the outer ring, which spins freely with the wearer’s movement thanks to an innovative ball-bearing mechanism.
The Bird on a Rock Tsavorite Watch stands out with 36 baguette-cut green tsavorites totaling 5.4 carats, set against a diamond-paved central disc. Its winding crown is adorned with a prong-set solitaire diamond, a tribute to Tiffany’s iconic engagement ring design.
Inside, the watch is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement from Le Temps, the same LTM2100 caliber used in the Tiffany Wisteria. This compact 15.7mm movement operates at 25,200 vibrations per hour (vph), features a single barrel, and provides a 38-hour power reserve.
Completing the timepiece is a luxurious green alligator leather strap, perfectly complementing the tsavorite accents.

First introduced in 1959 as a wedding ring, Jean Schlumberger’s iconic Sixteen Stone design drew inspiration from his family’s textile manufacturing heritage. The cross-stitch motif, interwoven with diamonds, has become a signature of Tiffany’s artistry and is now reimagined as a luxurious timepiece.
Crafted in white gold, the watch is adorned with 707 diamonds totaling 6.5 carats. Yellow-gold crosses, symbolizing stitches, are set on a rotating ring interspersed with 24 brilliant white diamonds.
The 39mm case is embellished with 413 diamonds, forming a dazzling display. The case back features a celestial arrangement of precious stones, while the crown is graced with Tiffany’s signature solitaire diamond.
A hallmark of Schlumberger’s designs, the free-spinning outer ring is a feat of craftsmanship, requiring 25 hours of meticulous work. The center of the dial is decorated with 220 diamonds, adding 1.32 carats of brilliance.
At its heart, the Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Twenty-Four Stone Watch is powered by the Swiss-made self-winding Caliber LTM 2100, offering a power reserve of 38 hours.
