TAG Heuer Introduces a new watch with lab-grown diamonds during LVMH Watch Week
TAG Heuer exemplifies a pioneering spirit in watchmaking, showcasing avant-garde craftsmanship and dedication to innovation. With a storied history spanning 163 years, the brand has consistently pushed the boundaries of horology, setting benchmarks for precision and technological advancements. During Watches and Wonders 2023, TAG Heuer released the “Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde” with pink diamonds. Now, the brand unveils the second color variant during LVMH watch week 2024, the “Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde” with yellow diamonds. This exceptional timepiece is adorned with 4.8 carats of lab-grown diamonds, including 1.4 carats of vibrant yellow lab grown diamonds.
TAG Heuer's foray into yellow diamonds demonstrates a commitment to innovation, injecting diversity and a vivid burst of color into their timepieces. The Plasma technology employed in crafting the “yellow-diamond TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde” ensures a consistent and uniform infusion of color throughout the entire diamond. Achieving such homogeneity demands specialized expertise to navigate the intricate process and replicate specific colors consistently across various batches.
This watch comes in a white gold case measuring 36 mm in diameter, with a signature diamond crown composed of a single 1.3-carat yellow lab-grown diamond. The 2.9-carat polycrystalline dial is adorned with the “Diamant d’Avant-Garde” shield, a breakthrough achieved by growing numerous diamond crystals as one, resulting in captivating reflections and light effects within a singular diamond entity.
The dial boasts 12 white gold indexes, each set with 0.5-carat white baguette-cut lab-grown diamonds, with a date window at 6 o’clock. The skeletonized hours and minutes hands further enhance the timepiece's elegance. At 12 o'clock, a yellow lab-grown diamond, cut in the brand's signature shield design, rests just below the Carrera logo.
Through the sapphire case back, you can spot the TAG Heuer Caliber 7, an automatic movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers 50 hours of power reserve. Additionally, this timepiece comes with a white alligator strap secured with a white gold pin buckle.
