The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing The Swedish indie brand Unveils The GoS Sarek Frost

Two timepieces inspired by the scandinavian winter aesthetics, in two different shades of blue

GoS, or Gustafsson & Sjögren, is a luxury watch brand known for its high-quality and handcrafted timepieces. The company was founded by Patrik Sjögren and Johan Gustafsson in Sweden, 2007. The brand often incorporates unique materials into its watches. This includes Damascus steel, a distinctive patterned metal known for its strength and aesthetics, and infusing Scandinavian design elements into its watches. This cultural influence adds a distinctive flair to GoS timepieces.

In 2016, GoS unveiled the Sarek collection, marking the inception of a horological journey defined by innovation and craftsmanship. Since its debut, the collection has evolved with a range of compelling variations and bespoke elements. Notably, the introduction of Damascus dials added a touch of elegance, showcasing the brand's commitment to intricate artistry and unique design. Furthermore, some dials capture the ethereal beauty of the famous northern lights, enhancing the Sarek timepieces with a celestial aesthetic. This year, the independent watch brand draws its inspiration from the frosty patterns adorning winter window panes, and introduces the “GoS Sarek Frost”. This timepiece presents a choice between two dial options: the deep, mysterious Midnight Blue or the crystalline elegance of Ice Blue. Both dials boast a sunray finish, complemented by an artistic depiction of frost, while a sapphire crystal hour track adds an extra layer of allure.

The Sarek Frost boasts a stainless steel case, measuring 41.5mm in diameter and 11mm in height, with the scalloped edges on the caseband adding a touch of sophistication, and a brushed bezel, with an optional Damascus steel bezel is available. The watch is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with AR-coating, offering both durability and visual clarity. The transparency continues with a sapphire crystal caseback, allowing a glimpse into the intricate movement.

The dial presents a choice between Midnight Blue and Ice Blue, both adorned with a sunray finish. The index ring features 12 shaped and polished sapphire crystals, with each interval demarcates the passage of an hour. These crystals are set on a base with white Super-LumiNova, ensuring legibility in any lighting condition, with a frost pattern in white and transparent materials gracing the outer edge. The dial also features rhodium plated spear-shaped hands.

Powering the watch is the La Joux-Perret G101 movement, for GoS. This automatic winding movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and boasts 65-hour power reserve, with a custom skeletonized tungsten rotor, adorned with the GoS triskele emblem in gold. The watch comes with a handcrafted salmon leather strap that is secured with a GoS pin buckle made of Damascus steel, providing both comfort and style.

The Sarek Frost stands as a limited edition timepiece, with only 100 pieces available, 50 for each variant. Priced at USD 9,500 which is equivalent to AED 35,000, and as we mentioned above, the band provides an optional Damascus bezel making the price USD 10,500 which is equivalent to AED 38,500.
