Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A modern take on the iconic 1970s Time Sonar
Within the Seiko 5 Sports collection, the Field series has established itself as a versatile platform defined by compact proportions and a utilitarian design language. Now, the brand is launching the HUF Limited Edition SRPM09, which builds on this foundation by revisiting a 1970s Seiko reference often associated with the “Time Sonar,” while avoiding a direct reproduction. Instead, the emphasis is placed on proportion, surface treatment, and colour.

This watch is released in collaboration with American lifestyle brand HUF, following their previous partnership with SRPL33 two years ago. The new model comes in a brushed and polished stainless steel case measuring 39.4 mm in diameter and 11.6 mm in thickness.
A screw-down exhibition caseback closes the case and offers a view of the movement. The sapphire window is tinted green and decorated with a graphic inspired by San Francisco, reinforcing the collaborative nature of the release. Each example carries an individual serial number, and water resistance is rated at 100 metres.

The semi-transparent green dial is developed specifically for this edition, introducing a sense of depth by allowing subtle glimpses of the day-date mechanism beneath. The color is bold, and symbolizes HUF’s signature hue. Time is indicated by luminous hands treated with LumiBrite, the proprietary luminous material developed by the Seiko Watch Corporation, and paired with applied indices that maintain clarity in low-light conditions. The layout remains clean and familiar, with central hours, minutes, and seconds, a day and date display, and a discreet “huf” signature positioned at 6 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the automatic Caliber 4R36. The movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 41 hours. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet secured by a three-fold clasp with a push-button release.

Production is limited to 7,000 pieces, with each watch individually numbered on the caseback. The price is set at EUR 410, approximately AED 1,800.
