A dress watch that blends classic refinement with a modern and creative twist
Raymond Weil is recognised for its classical approach to watchmaking, a philosophy shaped by its family ownership and its roots in Geneva since 1976. Recently, the brand has been refining its portfolio and reintroducing designs that balance heritage with modern character. Earlier this year, the brand launched the Toccata Heritage collection, a line that embraces the elegance of traditional dress watches and pays tribute to its early oval-shaped creations.
In its latest release, the brand is collaborating with the French artist seconde/seconde/ to show how Raymond Weil can honour classic codes while injecting a playful sense of humour into its creations.
The case of the watch follows the same proportions that define the collection. It measures 33mm in width, 38mm in length, and 6.95mm in thickness, all rendered in polished stainless steel to maintain a formal and slim profile that fits naturally under a cuff. A shaped sapphire crystal completes the front, and turning the watch over, you’ll find a screwed stainless steel caseback with a transparent window that reveals the ratchet wheel of the movement. The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters.

The dial is where seconde/seconde/ leaves his mark. Presented in two shades of anthracite, it is split vertically into a matte left half and a sunray-finished right half. The left segment carries a yellow inscription that reads, “Dress Shirt Cuff Should Cover at Least Half of the Watch.” The right half displays applied indices and four additional cuff-level indications that range from the central line down to Biz Casual, Semi-Formal, and Formal. The minute markers and indices fade as they approach the darker portion of the dial.

Inside the watch beats the manual-winding calibre RW4100, based on the Sellita SW210-1. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a power reserve of 45 hours. The watch comes with a black calfskin leather strap with an embossed alligator pattern, fitted with a steel pin buckle.

The watch is presented as a limited edition; however, Raymond Weil has not announced the total number of pieces that will be produced. The price is EUR 1,825, approximately AED 7,850.
