Introducing The Perrelet LAB Peripheral 3 Hands & Date and Dual Time Big Date

Perrelet remains one of the few Swiss watchmakers to develop and produce its timepieces entirely in-house, a distinction that has earned it a loyal following among collectors and enthusiasts. Renowned for its inventive mechanical solutions, such as the Double Rotor and the Turbine, the brand continues to redefine the interplay between movement and design, most notably through its signature peripheral rotor, visible from the dial side of the movement.

The latest additions to the LAB Peripheral collection embody this innovative spirit. The two new models, LAB Peripheral 3 Hands & Date and LAB Peripheral Dual Time Big Date, introduce a fresh salmon-colored dial and, for the first time, a fully integrated stainless steel bracelet. The salmon hue pays homage to the mid-20th century golden age of elegant wristwatches, reinterpreted here with a modern sensibility.

Both models feature a cushion-shaped stainless steel case measuring 42 mm in diameter and 13.51 mm in thickness. The case blends polished and brushed finishes and is topped with a bold octagonal bezel that adds architectural flair. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides covers the dial, while a sapphire crystal caseback, secured by six screws, reveals the movement within. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.

The salmon dial is constructed on multiple levels. At the center is a vertically striped motif, surrounded by a matte sandblasted ring that holds the indices. These indices appear to float above the dial, thanks to their unique mounting, while the rhodium-plated peripheral oscillating weight rotates smoothly beneath them. Luminous hands and indices ensure legibility even in low light. The 3 Hands & Date version includes a date window at 6 o’clock. The Dual Time Big Date model adds further complications: a large twin-window date at 12 o’clock, a second time zone sub-dial at 6, and a day/night indicator between 10 and 11 o’clock.

Powering the 3 Hands & Date is the in-house Perrelet Calibre P-411, an automatic movement beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a 42-hour power reserve. It consists of 243 components, and is adorned with Côtes de Genève finishing, rhodium-plated bridges, and gold engravings. The Dual Time Big Date is equipped with Calibre P-421, based on the same architecture but enhanced with additional complications.

Both calibres feature a peripheral oscillating weight mounted on ball bearings, helping maintain the movement’s slim profile. Buyers can choose between a black calfskin strap with an alligator pattern and white stitching or the new integrated stainless steel bracelet. Both options are fitted with a folding clasp engraved with the Perrelet logo.

These models join the brand’s permanent collection. The leather strap version is priced at CHF 4,080 (approximately AED 19,000), while the steel bracelet version is available for CHF 4,180 (approximately AED 19,300).
