A unique dual collaboration for a beautiful dual-time zone complication watch
The majority of watch collaborations usually involve one company partnering with an entity outside the watch industry. It's far less common to witness two distinct watch brands merging their expertise to craft a timepiece that seamlessly integrates elements from both worlds. In its latest 2024 release after collaborating with Matt Farah, Nodus has joined forces with fellow American independent brand “Raven” to produce a robust and highly functional GMT watch, embodying an equal blend of both brands distinctive flair, the Nodus x Raven Trailtrekker.
The new Nodus x Raven TrailTrekker draws inspiration from the historic journeys between California, home to Nodus, and Kansas, where Raven is headquartered. During the days of covered wagons and westward expansion, these routes were pivotal. However, rather than adopting a vintage aesthetic, this collaborative timepiece embodies modern design and execution. Specifically engineered for rugged travel, its color palette reflects the diverse landscapes of the United States.
As for the specifications, the watch comes in a 316L stainless steel case adorned with a matte gray DLC finish, measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 11.8mm in thickness. It boasts 20mm lugs and an overall lug-to-lug profile of 46.6mm. Protecting the dial is a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, encircled by a fixed 24-hour bezel coated with Cerakote ceramic. This bezel features engraved numerals filled with black lacquer. The solid screw-down caseback is adorned with a covered wagon engraving and ensures water resistance up to 200 meters.

The dial is coated with the same Cerakote ceramic finish as the bezel, featuring applied indices, hands, and an orange-yellow GMT hand coated with Super-LumiNova, which emits a blue glow. Positioned at 6 o'clock, a trapezoid-shaped date window adds practicality to the design. Despite being a collaboration, the dial maintains a minimalist approach to text, displaying only the Nodus logo and "TrailTrekker" name in the upper portion, while Raven's logo is positioned below the hands. All printing is executed in black to maintain the watch's dark and rugged aesthetic.

Powering the watch is the Miyota Cal. 9075 an automatic GMT movement, which operates at a frequency of 28,800vph (4 Hz) and offers power reserve of 42 hours. The watch comes with a matte gray DLC bracelet with its links tapered from 20mm at the case down to 16mm where they connect to the clasp. It is equipped with a proprietary NodeX Clasp for secure fastening and convenience, along with quick-release spring bars for effortless strap changes. Additionally. The watch comes with an olive drab ballistic nylon single-pass strap, providing a stylish alternative for versatile wear. The Nodus x Raven Trailtrekker is priced at USD 875 which is equivalent to AED 3,250.
