A new collaboration to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Gumball 3000 supercar rally race
In both watchmaking and motorsport, the pursuit of perfection is a shared passion, where precision and performance are paramount. These two worlds converge in the creation of timepieces that resonate deeply with both watch enthusiasts and car aficionados alike. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Gumball 3000 supercar rally race, independent Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin unveils a bold new collaboration—the Freak X Gumball 3000 Limited Edition.
For those unfamiliar, the Gumball 3000 is a unique international motor rally that takes place on public roads, first introduced in 1999 by English entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper. His vision brought together cars, music, fashion, and pop culture, creating an event that transcends traditional racing and captivates a global audience.

As for the watch, it is based on the iconic Freak, Ulysse Nardin’s pioneering and signature model with no hands, no dial, and no crown. It features a 43mm case crafted from black DLC titanium and Carbonium, an innovative material with exceptional strength-to-lightness properties, produced using the same carbon fibers found in state-of-the-art aircraft wings. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal, and since there is no crown, the time is adjusted by rotating the bezel. The case back is adorned with an orange print of the Gumball 3000 logo.

The openworked dial showcases a bridge that functions as the minute hand, while the hour hand is represented by a pointer on a rotating disc. Both elements are coated with orange Super-LumiNova, perfectly aligning with the bold theme of the collaboration. The watch is powered by the Manufacture UN-230 caliber, an automatic movement with a Silicium escapement. It consists of 206 parts and offers a power reserve of 72 hours, with a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz).
The timepiece is paired with a vivid orange rubber strap from Delugs with a folding clasp, it is limited to 150 pieces and the price is upon request.
