Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A dial inspired by the deep greens of forests
Since its initial release, the Tribute 1 collection by Armin Strom has represented a methodical attempt to redefine the classic hand-wound watch within the framework of contemporary watchmaking. Steering clear of excessive mechanical complication, the collection relies on precise design and engineering choices—focusing on structure, balance, and the spatial distribution of elements on the dial—while maintaining an aesthetic that respects both craftsmanship and functionality. Last month, the brand introduced the “Tribute 1 Sandstone”, featuring a sand-textured dial inspired by the sandstone rock formations of Burgdorf, the Swiss town where Armin Strom was founded. Now, in its latest release, the brand returns with the “Tribute 1 Green”—a fresh visual interpretation inspired by the rich greenery of forests and open fields.

The case is crafted from stainless steel, featuring a refined combination of brushed and polished surfaces. Measuring 38 mm in diameter and just 9.38 mm in thickness, it offers a slim profile that wears comfortably on the wrist. The distinctive placement of the crown at 2 o’clock adds a subtle asymmetry to the design, while maintaining ergonomic functionality. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment is used on both the front and the exhibition case back, ensuring durability and a clear view of the movement. and it offers 50 meters of water resistance.
The dial is rendered in a rich green tone and features an off-center composition, highlighted by a grain d’orge guilloché pattern and Roman numerals. A frosted sub-dial adds both visual contrast and tactile depth, while polished, rhodium-plated hands offer crisp legibility. Positioned in the lower section of the dial, the motor barrel becomes a focal point—anchored by a mirror-polished bridge that underscores the watch’s mechanical character.
The watch is powered by the Armin Strom manufacture Caliber AMW21, a hand-wound mechanical movement developed and finished entirely in-house. Comprising 135 components, it features a flat hairspring paired with a variable inertia balance wheel—an advanced regulating system that enhances precision and long-term stability. Operating at a frequency of 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz), the movement delivers 100-hour power reserve.
It comes with a green Alcantara strap and a stainless steel folding clasp. This limited edition is restricted to 50 pieces and is priced at CHF 22,000, approximately AED 101,000.
