The first skeletonized watch in the collection, with a new ultra-thin movement
Speake-Marin introduced the Ripples collection in 2022, marking its first entry into the luxury sports watch category. This collection stands out with its distinctive "La City" case, designed by Stéphane Lacroix. The design draws inspiration from the architectural landscape of London's famous financial district, paying homage to Speake-Marin's British heritage. The Ripples collection embodies a refined blend of sportiness and elegance, positioning itself as a noteworthy addition to the brand's distinguished portfolio.
After showcasing an array of releases within the Ripples collection, such as the striking Metallic Green and the refined silver Infinity Date, Speake-Marin continues its journey toward uncharted horizons. The brand now introduces the new Ripples Skeleton, the first skeletonized watch in the series, featuring an ultra-thin, high-frequency automatic movement.

For the first time, Speake-Marin is using 904L steel in its timepieces. This steel is more precious than conventional 316L steel, containing a higher percentage of nickel, chromium, and copper. These added elements enhance its resistance to corrosion and acids. The diameter remains consistent at 40.30 mm. However, the thickness has been reduced from 9.20 mm to just 6.30 mm—a significant 30% reduction made possible by the new-generation SMA07 calibre, which is only 3.25 mm thick.
The case includes a square bezel with rounded edges, featuring a polished profile, brushed surfaces, a screw-down crown, a screw-down case back, and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The Ripples Skeleton introduces the first-ever skeleton dial in this modern and sporty-chic collection. The dial features a small seconds subdial at 1:30, with intricate three-dimensional horizontal ripples that are hand brushed and treated with black PVD. The small seconds plate is just 0.30 mm thick, and its rhodium-plated, diamond-polished indices have opaline flanks. The hour and minute hands are blued, with a heart-shaped tip on the hour hand.

The watch is powered by the in-house skeleton automatic calibre SMA07, featuring a fully integrated tungsten micro-rotor. Composed of 182 components, this movement has a casing diameter of 35.75 mm and a slim thickness of just 3.25 mm (without hands). Operating at a high frequency of 36,000 vph (5 Hz), the movement offers 52-hour power reserve when fully wound. The watch features a three-row integrated steel bracelet with a folding buckle adorned with the Maison's logo. Limited in production, this timepiece is priced at CHF 29,900, equivalent to AED 122,000.
