A classic timepiece in collaboration with the Dutch denim brand Denham
Among Seiko's most iconic releases is the SKX series, introduced in 1996 as a reliable dive watch. This collection gained widespread popularity and was beloved for its robust construction and accessible pricing. Though discontinued in 2019, the SKX left a lasting impression, with its spirit carried forward in the Seiko 5 Sports series. This year, Seiko is honoring the legacy of the SKX through a unique collaboration with the Dutch denim brand DENHAM, introducing the Seiko 5 Sports DENHAM Limited Edition, inspired by the SKX’s classic design.
The watch features a stainless steel case measuring 42.5mm in diameter and 13.4mm in thickness, with a unidirectional rotating bezel that includes an indigo insert. The watch has a crown at 4 o'clock and is equipped with a curved Hardlex crystal on the dial side. Its exhibition caseback showcases DENHAM's iconic scissors logo along with the phrase "THE TRUTH IS IN THE DETAILS”, along with "LIMITED EDITION" and the unique serial number of each watch.
The dial comes in an indigo hue, a greenish dark blue color that gives a nice style to the watch. It features black indices, and the DENHAM logo is printed on the 12 o’clock index, which is represented as an equilateral triangle that has been inverted from the traditional orientation seen on the standard SKX model.
The hour and minute hands are coated with Seiko's LumiBrite luminous coating, which is also applied to the bezel, ensuring visibility in low light. A day/date indicator is positioned at 3 o'clock. The red seconds hand is a nod to DENHAM’s signature red rivets found on their denim products, and the dial ring is adorned with a stitch design reminiscent of denim stitching.

The watch is powered by the Caliber 4R36, an in-house automatic movement operating at 21,600vph (3Hz) and offering a 41-hour power reserve. It comes with an indigo nylon strap featuring yellow stitching, similar to the detailing on the dial ring. Limited to 2,000 pieces, it is priced at USD 430, equivalent to AED 1,600.
