Introducing The New Brellum Duobox Triple Calendar Moonphase with a Salmon Dial

A new blue color, with a sporty touch of skeletonized design and the elegance of platinum
While Parmigiani Fleurier has garnered attention at this year’s Watches & Wonders show, the brand has made a notable addition to the Tonda PF collection with an all-platinum skeletonized version featuring a novel blue-colored dial. Born of a saga that began two years ago, the Tonda PF Skeleton conquered the watchmaking world with its steel and 18-carat rose gold versions. Now, to this exceptional family, this new all-platinum version brings an extra touch of nobility to an already prestigious heritage. As the last piece we put our hands on was the Tonda PF Hijiri Perpetual Calendar, a complicated watch with its wonderful green dial, now this watch, with its timeless style, maintains the company's aesthetic while adding a sophisticated and sporty touch due to the combination of platinum and the openworked design.
The Case 950 Platinum with a big knurled bezel, boasts a diameter of Ø 40.0 mm with a thickness of 8.5 mm, featuring ARunic anti-reflective sapphire glass and a sapphire case back, ensuring durability and clarity. With a water resistance of 100 meters, it combines elegance with functionality.
Like its steel and gold brethren, the new 950 platinum Tonda PF Skeleton features a time-only, open-worked dial that’s befittingly elegant and somehow more readable as a skeletonized timepieces. The key here lies in contrasting metals and textures. With what the brand is calling a Milano Blue metal dial that’s been sandblasted then satin-finished, the main visual real estate is clearly delineated from the high-polish 18kt gold hands and indices. To help match the overall silvery look of the watch, these have been coated in rhodium, giving lots of shine. This makes them stand apart from the blue dial and its apertures to the movement below. Normally, skeletonized hands on a skeletonized dial mean trouble for readability, but here it seems to work.
the watch is powered by the automatic PF777 caliber with it s skeletonized rotor; the movement boas a power reserve of 60 hours, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 A/h). Comprising 187 components, this caliber features a thickness of 3.9 mm.
