Marking the brand return as the as the official timekeeper of Salone del Mobile
Panerai has had a remarkable year, marked by a wave of exciting developments and changes. From the appointment of Emmanuel Perrin as its new CEO to a standout presence at Watches and Wonders, where the brand unveiled notable additions to the Luminor Marina collection and released the Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech PAM01575, the momentum has been strong.
Yet, that’s not the only highlight so far. Panerai is also celebrating its return as the official timekeeper of Salone del Mobile or Milan Design Week, the prestigious furniture fair held annually in Milan, Italy. To mark the occasion, the brand introduces a bold new creation: the Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica PAM01574.
The new PAM01574 arrives in a robust 44mm case crafted entirely from black high-tech ceramic. The brand combines matte sandblasted surfaces with polished accents for a contemporary finish. Beyond its solid construction, ceramic lends the watch exceptional scratch resistance and lightweight comfort, upholding Panerai’s standards for durability.
Around the back, a smoked sapphire crystal offers a glimpse of the movement, anchored on a Grade 5 titanium base. And when it comes to real-world performance, the PAM01574 doesn’t flinch, offering water resistance up to 300 meters.
A signature sandwich dial hosts a stunning blue sunray finish, with white Super-LumiNova X2 illuminating the numerals, hands, and small seconds indicator at 9 o’clock with a green glow. Meanwhile, the arrow-tipped GMT hand and power reserve display at 5 o’clock glow in blue, providing dual-color luminous cues. A beveled date window sits at 3 o’clock, with the power reserve indicator just beneath it, marked with the word “ore” (Italian for “hours”).
The watch is powered by the automatic calibre P.9012, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), and delivers a 72-hour power reserve via twin barrels. The movement includes a quick-set feature that allows the hour hand and date to be adjusted independently in both directions. When the crown is pulled out, the balance stops and the small seconds hand resets to zero.
The PAM01574 is fitted with a blue alligator leather strap paired with a titanium buckle, and it also includes a blue rubber strap. Both straps feature Panerai’s PAM Click Release System, allowing for seamless strap swaps without tools. The watch is priced at CHF 14,800, which is equivalent to AED 62,000.
