Introducing The New MeisterSinger Pangaea Day Date

A stunning release featuring a blue dial with elegant gold accents

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Münster, MeisterSinger is a German watchmaker known for its distinctive approach to timekeeping. The brand stands out for its use of a single hand on its dials, offering a minimalist and nostalgic way of reading time reminiscent of historical timepieces. In addition to this unique approach, MeisterSinger has released a variety of models featuring different complications, including a bell complication and a moonphase, all while maintaining its signature single-hand time display.

One of the brand’s most iconic models is the Pangaea Day Date, first introduced in 2013. This line has since expanded to include several variants, such as a white dial version released last year and a gray dial model unveiled earlier this year. In its latest release, MeisterSinger expands this collection once more with a blue dial featuring gold accents.

The watch boasts a polished stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and 10.5mm in thickness, just like its predecessors. The large onion-style crown adds a touch of vintage charm while ensuring ease of use. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, and turning the watch over reveals a screwed sapphire crystal caseback, allowing a clear view of the intricate movement.

The blue sunray-brushed dial is adorned with golden accents. Golden double digits mark the hours (01, 02, 03), while smaller golden markers indicate the five-minute intervals between them, helping the wearer estimate the time more precisely. White indicators with no numbers are placed at key points: the hour (12:00), the quarter-hour (12:15, 12:45), and the half-hour (12:30), making it easier to tell the time at a glance.

At the center, a single golden hand maintains MeisterSinger’s signature one-hand design. Instead of traditional windows, the day and date are displayed on two concentric rotating discs closer to the center.

Powering the watch is the Sellita SW220 automatic movement, customized for MeisterSinger's unique time display. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve. The watch comes with a brown cowhide leather strap, painstakingly dyed by hand using oak bark, and is priced at EUR 2,490, approximately equivalent to AED 9,600.
