One of its most famous is The Longines Master Collection highlighting a departure towards more conventional designs. The brand aimed to transform the Longines Master collection from intricate timepieces to those exclusively dedicated to displaying the time. Last year, we covered the new look for the 38.50 mm Master Small Seconds, and now, Longines welcomes 2024 with the new Longines Master Collection GMT Gold limited edition. With a 40mm diameter and a sleek 10.40mm thickness, this timepiece is a harmonious blend of form and function. Available in 18K rose or yellow gold, it features a polished case and a sapphire crystal that protects the dial.

The frosted silver-finished dial stands out as one of the most exceptional features in this release. This unique finishing technique involves the application of coarse granules on the dial, elevating the watch's aesthetic appeal. The dial also features applied Roman numerals in solid gold that match the case. The gold-polished hands gracefully glide over a railroad minute track, while an inner flange hosts a 24-hour scale, complemented by a date window at 6 o’clock with a black GMT hand—a subtle and essential feature for travelers.

The Master Collection GMT Gold limited edition is powered by the Longines L844.5 caliber, featuring a silicon balance-spring and cutting-edge components that provide a magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 benchmark standard. This self-winding mechanical movement is elegantly showcased through the sapphire crystal case back, operating at a frequency of 25,200 vph (3.5Hz) and boasting 72 hours of power reserve.
