Timex closes its iconic collection with titanium and forged carbon case
Timex concludes its renowned Giorgio Galli S Series with a limited-edition model, the Giorgio Galli S2Ti. Designed by Timex’s creative director, Giorgio Galli, the S2Ti reflects his passion for craftsmanship, seamlessly combining advanced materials with innovative design.
The Giorgio Galli S Series debuted in 2019 with the S1, introducing a bold new approach to affordable luxury watches. Each subsequent iteration has embodied Galli’s vision, with the new S2Ti, the final piece in this journey, standing as the pinnacle of that vision.
The watch is crafted primarily from titanium and features a forged carbon mid-case. It measures 38mm in diameter, 12mm in thickness, and spans 46mm lug-to-lug. Despite its intricate construction, the watch offers 50 meters of water resistance, making it well-suited for everyday wear, just not for swimming.
The dial is also crafted from titanium and is complemented by a polished stainless steel hour ring, marked with subtle notches for each hour. It’s simple, modern aesthetic aligns with current trends. Both the hour and minute hands are polished, and the brand’s name is positioned in black at the 12 o'clock mark.
Powering the watch is the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offering a 41-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, which highlights a sleek black rotor.
A standout feature of the S2Ti is its all-titanium bracelet. Designed with convenience in mind, it incorporates Timex’s proprietary I-Size toolless resizing mechanism, enabling wearers to adjust the bracelet length effortlessly. The butterfly clasp ensures a secure fit while blending seamlessly into the bracelet’s design. The watch is limited to just 500 pieces, and priced at €1,950, which is approximately AED 7,500.
