Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A collaboration with tennis Serbian champion Novak Djokovic unveils an innovative watch
Hublot’s innovative approach to horology is elevated through its ambassadors, including the iconic tennis player Novak Djokovic, who has been the brand’s ambassador since 2021. An Olympic Gold Medalist and the holder of an astonishing 24 Grand Slam titles, Djokovic has solidified his position as one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
Now, Djokovic and Hublot have joined forces to unveil the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic, a beautiful piece that pays homage to the strength, determination, and resilience that propelled Djokovic to the pinnacle of tennis. The watch incorporates elements from Djokovic’s HEAD racquets and iconic Lacoste polos, seamlessly blending his journey into a wearable piece on the wrist.
Hublot crafted a unique composite using 25 HEAD racquets and 32 Lacoste polos worn by Djokovic during his record-breaking 2023 season, in which he secured his 24th Grand Slam title. The case and bezel are made from epoxy resin reinforced with quartz powder and glass veil, incorporating fragments of blue textiles and black carbon to create a striking camo aesthetic. To ensure a lightweight design, Hublot replaced sapphire crystal with tempered Gorilla Glass, a material that is twice as light. The watch measures 42mm in diameter and 14.5mm in thickness and features a transparent caseback, offering a clear view of its movement.

The matte sky-blue dial features an openworked design accented with striking yellow details. It includes a 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, with a date window, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. The hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal readability in low-light conditions.
The watch is powered by the HUB1280 Unico, an automatic manufacture movement operating at a 28,800vph (4Hz) and offers 72-hour power reserve. To reduce the overall weight of the watch, Hublot reimagined the standard Unico movement, traditionally crafted in brass, by using lightweight aluminum. This aluminum was anodized in light blue or gray to complement the camo-inspired color scheme of the case. This innovative approach reduced the movement's weight by 27%, shedding nearly a third of its mass. Additionally, aluminum has been utilized for several case components, including the sub-bezel, bezel lugs, pushers, crown, and case back, further enhancing the watch’s lightweight construction.
The watch comes with four interchangeable straps, each catering to a distinct style. The first is a “Lacoste” tennis wristband that seamlessly attaches to the watch head via Hublot's One Click System. The second option is a lightweight blue elastic strap, bringing the total weight of the watch to just 49.5 grams, which is in fact lighter than a tennis ball. The third strap is a light blue Velcro design, paired with a polished blue aluminum sports buckle, and a white rubber strap with a titanium deployant buckle to finish up the set.
The watch is limited to 100 pieces and priced at USD 52,700, which is approximately equivalent to AED 193,600.
