Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

Reviving an icon from the 90s in a limited edition
The Master Control collection reflects Jaeger-LeCoultre’s commitment to simple, timeless design. Introduced in the early nineties, it set new standards with the 1000 Hour Control testing that certified the entire watch for accuracy and reliability. In its latest edition, the brand is launching the Master Control Classic, a new interpretation inspired by a reference from 1995. The result is a compact and elegant watch that captures the purity of the original while benefiting from modern performance.
The case measures 36 mm in diameter with a thickness of 8.15 mm. It is crafted from stainless steel with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces that highlight the smooth contours of the design. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the solid steel caseback carries the medallion associated with the earliest Master Control models. The watch offers water resistance of 50 meters.
The dial embraces the classical aesthetic of the mid nineties. Presented in a silver sunray finish, it features elongated triangular indices accented by small luminescent dots. Dauphine hands display the hours and minutes with crisp legibility, while a blued central seconds hand adds a subtle touch of color. A framed date window sits at the 3 o’clock position.
Inside the watch is the latest version of the automatic Calibre 899, known for its efficiency, stability, and long term reliability. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 70 hours. Like every Master Control model, it undergoes the brand’s rigorous 1000 Hour Control certification protocol.
The watch is delivered on a brown ostrich leather strap with light contrast stitching and a stainless steel pin buckle. This model is limited to 500 pieces and priced at EUR 8,950, equivalent to AED 32,800.
