Independent American Watchmaker Showcases His Skills in Dial Decoration
Joshua Shapiro is an independent American watchmaker renowned for his mastery of engine turning (guilloché) and traditional handcraft techniques. Based in Los Angeles, he founded J.N. Shapiro Watches in 2018.

The brand produces highly limited, handcrafted timepieces featuring in-house dials and American-made components. Now, Shapiro unveils his latest creation, combining a smaller case with two stunning dial finishes.
The Infinity Series Pure comes in a 37mm 316L stainless steel case, measuring 8.8mm thick, or 7.4mm without the domed sapphire crystal making it the brand’s thinnest and smallest case to date. It features a rounded, classically elegant design.
The solid caseback, secured with four screws, is hand-engraved and engine-turned, and proudly bears the infinity symbol. The case is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The J.N. Shapiro Infinity Series Pure is available in two variations: one with white gold hands over a blackened zirconium dial, and the other with rose gold hands over a frosted silver dial. Both dials showcase the brand’s signature “Infinity Weave” pattern, a basket weave within a basket weave. Each dial is framed by an engraved, circular brushed chapter ring and minute track featuring black Arabic numerals.
For the Infinity Series Pure, J.N. Shapiro chose the Swiss-made manually wound Caliber F200 from La Joux-Perret, an economical option compared to the fully American-made movement in the previous Resurgence edition.
That movement was a significant achievement, with all components made and finished in-house, excluding only the jewels and springs. The Caliber F200 was selected for its compact and slim dimensions, 30mm in diameter and 2.7mm in thickness. This hand-wound movement, known for its reliability, beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and offers a 90-hour power reserve.
The watch is worn on a calfskin leather strap secured with a stainless steel pin buckle. The Infinity Series Pure is limited to 18 pieces per dial edition. It is priced at USD 26,000, which is equivalent to AED 95,500.
