A futuristic timepiece with the tellurium complication
SpaceOne was founded last year by Guillaume Laidet, and Theo Auffret, an independent watchmaker, it is a new french brand that creates affordable complicated timepieces. Their first piece, the SpaceOne Jumping Hour, quickly sold out on Kickstarter, drawing considerable interest with its futuristic design that resembles a sleek spacecraft and a window displaying three concentric discs.
This year, the brand is releasing its second watch, the Tellurium, a timepiece that displays the Earth, Moon and Sun on your wrist, designed by Olivier Gamiette, an engineer-designer renowned for his futuristic dials. The SpaceOne Tellurium's mechanism includes a heliocentric Tellurium-style planetary disk, which simultaneously depicts the Earth and Moon in their orbits around the Sun. The calendar, connected to this celestial complication, has a jumping date and a sliding month display, forming a cohesive and practical design.
The watch features a grade 5 titanium case that is brushed and sandblasted, with dimensions of 50mm in length, 42mm in width, and a height of 16mm. The crown is positioned at 12 o'clock. Its unique shape sets it apart from traditional timepieces, and you can admire the beautiful dial through a domed sapphire crystal.

The SpaceOne Tellurium dial features an aventurine disk decorated with titanium stars. At its center is the Sun and around it is a planetary wheel displaying the Earth and Moon. The Earth completes its orbit in one year, while the Moon follows its 29.5-day cycle. At the 6 o'clock position, a calendar display linked to the tellurium system shows a sliding month and a jumping date. The dial layout has three indices at 4, 8, and 12 o'clock.
The SpaceOne Tellurium is powered by the Soprod P024 H4 automatic movement, with the patented Tellurium complication module. This movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 38 hours of power reserve. The watch is priced at EUR 2,999 which is equivalent to AED 11,850.
