Five releases that merge the iconic Big Bang and modern Unico
As part of its participation in the long-awaited Watches And Wonders 2025, Hublot is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its iconic Big Bang collection. Since its debut in 2005, the Big Bang has redefined modern watchmaking with its bold aesthetics and fusion of innovative materials. To commemorate this milestone, Hublot has introduced five limited-edition models that bridge the past and future of the collection.
Each of the five anniversary models features a redesigned 43mm case with a thickness of 13.20 mm, blending elements from the original Big Bang and the contemporary Big Bang Unico. The cases retain the collection’s signature layered construction, pinched lugs, and knurled bezel edge. The dials, engraved with a carbon fiber-inspired relief motif, showcase riveted Arabic numerals and indices filled with Super-LumiNova for optimal visibility, with 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 9 o'clock. The tilted date window can be seen at 4:30.
The first two editions pay homage to the original Big Bang’s 2005 debut, which introduced Hublot’s "Art of Fusion" philosophy. Limited to 500 pieces in titanium ceramic and 250 pieces in King Gold ceramic. Their carbon-patterned dials enhance depth and contrast, while red chronograph accents nod to the early Big Bang models. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary Titanium Ceramic is priced at CHF 18,900 (approximately AED 78,800), while the Big Bang 20th Anniversary King Gold Ceramic costs CHF 34,900, approximately AED 145,500.
Hublot revolutionized ceramic watchmaking by developing vibrantly colored ceramic, a process requiring precise control over pigments, pressure, and temperature. The Red Magic edition, limited to 100 pieces, celebrates this breakthrough with a striking red ceramic case and a carbon-patterned dial, reinforcing Hublot’s position at the forefront of material innovation. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic is priced at CHF 28,900, approximately AED 120,500.
The "All Black" concept, introduced in 2006, challenged traditional watch design by emphasizing stealthy monochrome aesthetics over readability. The 20th Anniversary All Black edition, limited to 500 pieces, features a matte black ceramic case paired with a black carbon-patterned dial, an unprecedented combination for the All Black series. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary All Black costs CHF 22,900, approximately AED 95,500.
Magic Gold, unveiled in 2011, remains the only scratch-resistant 18-karat gold alloy in watchmaking. By combining ceramic’s resilience with gold’s luster (which is particles of real gold suspended in a liquid medium), Hublot created a futuristic material with a subtle greenish hue. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary Full Magic Gold, limited to 100 pieces, pairs this unique alloy with a carbon-patterned dial and gilt hands and markers, offering a visually striking contrast of textures and tones. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary Full Magic Gold is priced at CHF 36,900, approximately AED 154,000.
Powering these models is the Unico automatic manufacture chronograph movement that operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers 72 hours of power reserve. The watches are paired with a structured rubber strap featuring the original lozenge pattern and an integrated One Click strap-change mechanism.
