Introducing The New Hermès Arceau Grand Tralala et Mors

Paying homage to Hermès' equestrian tradition, the company continues to advance its strategy, begun years ago, of creating distinctive timepieces inspired by the brand's famous silk scarves. In the latest edition of the French company, it is inspired by the design of the silk scarf by the French artist Virginie Jamin. The distinctive design recalls the colorful bridles and prestigious shiny cuffs worn by the horses of the Hungarian Royal Guard in the 19th century.

Designed by Henri Durigny in 1978, the Arceau watch embodies the Hermès style with its simple, circular shape inspired by the “stirrup” on which a rider rests his legs when riding a horse, highlighting the company’s equestrian history. The company had introduced several Arceau models inspired by the silk scarves made by Hermès, and now with the latest of these versions.

Both versions are crafted in pink gold with diamonds, featuring 64 diamonds and topped by a gem-set crown. Measuring 34 mm, they use the famous Hermès bezel design, with anti-reflective sapphire crystal over the dial and caseback.

On the dial of the Arceau Grand Tralala, bridles and bits intertwine in the brilliance of rose gold and 110 diamonds, forming a graphic yet dainty decoration. Available in lacquered white or black. At the 2 and 6 o’clock positions, the watch incorporates bit motifs, with the one at 6 o’clock cleverly doubling as the small seconds hand, its tip acting as a pointer.

The Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, reveals the finishing and the 'sprinkling of Hs' pattern on its bridges and oscillating weight. This automatic movement offers up to 50 hours of power reserve. It is the same caliber used in previous Arceau models.
