Two new releases with a bolder case size and meteorite dials
Gérald Genta was founded in 1969 and quickly established itself as one of the most daring names in watch design. After being relaunched in 2023 under the direction of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the house returned to the spotlight by reviving some of its most unconventional creations. Among them, the Gentissima Oursin collection stood out for its sea-urchin-inspired silhouette and highly decorative case, originally introduced in compact 36.5 mm versions.
Now, the collection evolves with the new Gentissima Oursin 41, a larger and more contemporary interpretation designed to bring a bolder character to one of Genta’s most distinctive designs.

The case measures 41 mm in diameter and 9.84 mm in thickness. It is crafted from sandblasted Grade 5 titanium and surrounded by 234 individually fitted white gold beads, giving the watch its signature spiked profile. The crown is made from white gold and topped with a polished cabochon. A sapphire exhibition caseback offers a full view of the movement. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The dial is cut from genuine meteorite and is available in either blue or green. Each dial has a natural, unique crystalline pattern. The dial features rounded hour markers and gold hour and minute hands filled with Super-LumiNova. Both the hands and the five-minute markers emit a subtle pink glow in low light as a tribute to Gérald Genta’s favorite color.
The watch is powered by the automatic Calibre GG-005, based on the Zenith Elite architecture. It runs at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 50 hours. The movement is finished with a yellow gold rotor and visible decorative treatments through the caseback.
It is fitted with a color-matched rubber strap in either blue or green. The strap echoes the beaded theme of the case and is secured with a titanium clasp. The price is CHF 25,000, approximately AED 114,200.
