A tourbillon watch with a light blue mother-of-pearl dial
Since 2008, Frédérique Constant has developed its own tourbillon calibres, often at price points well below the industry norm. As a reflection of its mission to make fine watchmaking more accessible, the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture line embodies this spirit with elegant, compact proportions, as seen in past models with green and meteorite dials. Now, for the first time, the brand introduces a tourbillon with a light blue mother-of-pearl dial.
This latest model is housed in a refined 39mm case crafted from 18-carat white gold, with a slim profile of just 10.99mm and mirror-polished surfaces. Sapphire crystals on both the front and back offer an unobstructed view of the intricate mechanics within. The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters, making it suitable for daily wear.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the dial. Made from natural mother-of-pearl in a soft blue-grey hue, it shimmers with changing tones under the light. Diamond-cut, silver-toned indices and hand-polished leaf-style hands lend a clean, luxurious finish. At 6 o’clock sits the prominent one-minute tourbillon, which also functions as a small seconds display.
Powering the watch is Frédérique Constant’s FC-980-4 calibre, an automatic movement developed and assembled entirely in-house. It beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours.
The watch comes paired with a light blue alligator leather strap, secured by a matching folding clasp. Limited to just 36 individually numbered pieces, it is priced at CHF 34,995, approximately AED 156,600.
