Introducing The New Christopher Ward Twelve (Ti) Non-Fumé

Founded in 2004, Christopher Ward has earned quite a fan base for its quality, Swiss-made timepieces offered at accessible prices. Over the past two decades, the brand has continued to challenge conventions, not just through new models, but also through technical milestones like the Calibre SH21, the first commercially viable movement from a British brand in over half a century.

Among its most successful releases is The Twelve, a sports watch collection that debuted in 2023 with a distinct identity. Until now, the design language was clear: fumé dials for titanium, flat monotone dials for steel. But in response to ongoing collector demand, Christopher Ward has done what it does best, bending its own rules, with the release of the new Twelve (Ti) Non-Fumé.

The new watch retains the same 40mm case diameter and ultra-thin 8.95mm profile as its predecessors. Crafted from lightweight Grade 2 titanium, the case features a multi-textured twelve-sided bezel, combining polished, brushed, and sandblasted surfaces. A screw-down sapphire exhibition caseback offers a view of the custom rotor and movement finishing, while the watch is rated to 100 metres of water resistance.

The familiar textured dial seen in previous releases, featuring an undulating pattern inspired by the twin-flags logo, now comes in flat monotone finishes: Arctic White, Glacier Blue, and the new, exclusive Fjord Blue. These dials display the time via luminous hands and indices, all filled with Grade X1 BL C1 Super-LumiNova for exceptional visibility in low light, with a date window at 6 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the COSC-certified Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 56-hour power reserve. Buyers can choose between a sporty black rubber strap or the collection’s signature integrated titanium bracelet. The bracelet tapers from 25mm to 16mm and includes a hidden micro-adjustment mechanism for a perfect wrist fit.

The new variants are not limited editions, they join the brand’s permanent collection as regular offerings, though the Fjord Blue dial is currently exclusive to this launch. Prices start at €1,595 (approximately AED 6,600) for models on the rubber strap, and €2,075 (approximately AED 8,600) for the full titanium bracelet variants.
