Tudor expands its releases with an elegant blue dial
Tudor has long been known with watches closely tied to the world of motorsport, while constantly pushing the boundaries of professional divers’ watches. The Black Bay Chrono collection perfectly embodies these dual features, blending them seamlessly. Since its debut in 2017, the Black Bay Chrono has garnered attention with numerous releases, each showcasing Tudor's commitment to innovation. Among these, the Pink model stands out as an exceptional and unexpected addition.
Now, Tudor is introducing the Black Bay Chrono Blue, a boutique-only edition that showcases a refined blue color. This model taps into Tudor's rich tradition of incorporating blue dials across its collections, a hallmark of the brand’s design ethos. Over the decades, Tudor has pioneered various shades of blue in numerous designs, consistently featuring them in its catalogs. This enduring commitment has given rise to the notion of "Tudor Blue," not only tied to any specific hue, but also emphasizing the color’s permanence within the brand’s signature aesthetics.
The watch remains true to the Black Bay Chrono collection with its 41mm x 14.2mm case, crafted from 316L stainless steel and featuring polished and brushed finishes. It is equipped with a fixed stainless steel bezel, which includes a blue anodized aluminum insert and a tachymetric scale with silver markings. The crown is also made of stainless steel, adorned with the Tudor rose in relief, next to a screw-down pushers at 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the watch offers waterproofness up to 200 meters.

Just like the bezel, the domed dial features a striking blue hue paired with silver counters, along with Tudor's iconic snowflake hands—a brand signature in divers' watches since 1969. Drawing inspiration from the first generation of TUDOR chronographs, the dial layout includes a 45-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a date aperture at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock. The applied indexes and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility in low-light conditions.
The watch is powered by the Calibre MT5813, an automatic movement based on Breitling's renowned B01. This COSC-certified movement features a column-wheel mechanism and a vertical clutch, ensuring precise chronograph functionality. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 70 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with a 5-link Jubilee-style bracelet and a folding clasp, and priced at CHF 5,300, equivalent to AED 22,800.
