Two new classic chronographs in ebony black or ivory white
Angelus is a prestigious Swiss watch brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1891. Originally founded as Stolz Frères SA in Le Locle, Angelus specializes in crafting high-quality timepieces, particularly renowned for their chronographs and innovative use of materials. Last year, the brand launched the La Fabrique collection, aiming to create watches with classic and elegant designs. Now, Angelus is adding a new timepiece to the La Fabrique collection and introduces the new “Instrument de Vitesse Monopusher chronograph”, which will be presented during Watches And Wonders 2024.
The "Instrument de Vitesse," which translates to "speed instrument" in English, comes in two variations, primarily distinguished by the color of the dial: ebony-black and ivory-white. Other than that, they both share the same stainless steel case, measuring 39 mm in diameter and 9.27 mm in thickness, combining a blend of brushed and polished finishes that exude elegance. The crown is positioned at 3 o'clock with a built-in monopusher. The dial is protected by a box sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and the movement can be seen through a sapphire crystal case back.
As mentioned previously, the dials are available in either ebony-black or ivory-white, both featuring 3D Arabic numerals coated with Super-LumiNova to enhance visibility. Positioned in a circle closer to the center, these numerals are either black-treated for the ivory dial or rhodium-plated for the ebony dial. Surrounding them is what the brand refers to as a "base 1000" tachymeter scale in different colors.

The new Angelus Instrument de Vitesse is powered by the caliber A5000, a manually wound caliber that offers 42-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The main plate and bridges boast a palladium finish, with circular graining on the main plate and a Côtes de Genève motif on the chamfered bridges.

The timpieces come with either a hand-stitched caramel calfskin or midnight-blue nubuck calfskin strap, and is paired on the wrist with a steel pin buckle. Each dial variant will be limited to only 25 pieces, with a price of CHF 17,100 which is equivalent to AED 70,000.
