Marking the ninth anniversary of Alpina’s partnership with the Freeride World Tour circuit
Alpina has long been associated with the world of alpine sports, establishing itself as one of the earliest Swiss brands to anchor its watchmaking philosophy in durability, legibility, and reliability under extreme conditions. Over the decades, this identity has evolved into a deep connection with mountain culture and outdoor performance, shaping collections that balance robust construction with contemporary design.

This spirit extends naturally into Alpina’s long-standing partnership with the Freeride World Tour, one of the world’s most demanding freeride ski and snowboard competitions. Now entering the ninth year of this collaboration, Alpina expands its Alpiner Extreme lineup with the Alpiner Extreme Automatic Freeride World Tour Special Edition.

The watch is housed in a cushion-shaped stainless-steel case measuring 39 mm in diameter, 40.5 mm in length, and 11.5 mm in thickness, making it the most compact case size within the Alpiner Extreme range. The case combines polished edges with brushed surfaces, while the vertically brushed bezel is secured by six exposed screws that echo Alpina’s triangular emblem. A screw-down crown with a rubber grip improves handling and contributes to a water-resistance rating of 200 meters. The steel caseback is engraved with Freeride World Tour markings.

The dial is presented in a monochromatic grey tone inspired by alpine rock formations. Its textured surface incorporates the Freeride World Tour emblem as a recurring motif, marking the first time this logo has been integrated directly into the Alpiner Extreme dial design. Applied hour markers and the hour and minute hands are filled with white luminous material for enhanced legibility, while the central seconds hand is highlighted by a red triangle-shaped counterweight. A date window is positioned at 3 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the automatic AL-525 calibre, based on the Sellita SW200-1. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours. The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap secured by a deployant clasp that ensures a stable fit on the wrist. This edition is priced at EUR 1,695, approximately AED 7,300.
